Report: Chris Leben vs Aaron Simpson rebooked for TUF 11 Finale on June 19 in Las Vegas

The UFC appears to be reshuffling the deck for a couple of its upcoming fight cards as the Chris Leben vs. Aaron Simpson middleweight match-up originally penciled in for UFC 114 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 29 has been rebooked for the main card of the June 19 Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 11 Finale at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
MMAWeekly reported the pending change earlier today.
"The Crippler" is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Jay Silva at January's UFC Fight Night 20 event in Fairfax, Virginia. Prior to that, Leben had dropped consecutive fights to Jake Rosholt at UFC 102 and Michael Bisping at UFC 89.
The original TUF 1 contestant was forced to take a long leave of absence from the fight game after he tested positive for steroids following his contest with "The Count."
Conversely, Arizona Combat Sports product Aaron Simpson has reeled off three wins in a row since coming over to the UFC early last year. His most recent fight ended in a bit of controversy after he was awarded a split decision victory over Tom Lawlor, also at UFC Fight Night 20.
Both fighters are hovering in the middle of the pack in the middleweight division but with a win at the TUF 11 Finale, one man could move up another place in the pecking order.

but one of the regulars on here was singing simpsons praises to the hilt,saying he was the mw couture,blah,blah,blah.he looked garbage against lawlor and was lucky tom run out of gas.if leben comes in in excellent shape i think he takes this.
well it wasn’t me considering I don’t think Couture is any good. Simpson got a little carried away with his striking against Lawlor and it cost him but he showed incredible heart and wrestling for the comeback victory.

It's the left hand...
His greatest strength and weakness; it’s a 1 hit guaranteed KO, but it’s so damn predictable and he telegraphs it so much. You can tell every fight when Leben gets desperate he starts throwing that left WAY back behind him and winging it, they see it comin a mile away.

he TKO'd Jmac before TUF
and gave Belcher (everyones new favorite) a pretty tough fight. Im not a fan of Starnes, but I agree with ANS, the guy is 10-5 in pro MMA, got to give him some respect.

Its just the Quarry fight that really does him in. Thats what he is known for…. and rightfully (See: embarrasingly) so. That was an awful performance and he is the only one he can blame.

Boring Fight
Simpson knows better than to throw with Leben, he’s gunna take him down and that’s it, he might even outwork him like Rosholt did and snag a sub. I like Leben but he needs a new coach or some serious time watching his style, stick and move, counter, whatever just change it up.

Let me ask u this ANS how many fights has he won since leaving the ufc. hell he just lost a fight. and i dont think he will ever fight 4 a major promotion ever again. what makes me sick about starnes is that their r many fighters out their who r hungry & would kill 2 have the opportunity that he had & what did he do with it nothing. He fuck up. I didn’t like b4 the nate fight & after the i lost all respect 4 him u have the opportunity 2 fight 4 the ufc & n front of 1 of the biggest crowds n ufc history n canada & u go out and dont even attempt 2 even try & u completly embarrased the ufc & ur fellow fighters. I dont care if any1 thinks im an asshole 4 sayin this but FUCK KILIB STARNES.
