To me it screams
KOS is playing mind games and is gonna take him down AT WILL and pound him out….
but i already made my daily pick so hopefully he KTFO KOS…even tho i think KOS (with proper training regimen) is the only one who can come close to beating GSP

I like KOS...
against GSP as well. I think he did well against him in their 3rnd fight. Granted he never had GSP in any danger and GSP controlled the fight, but with that in mind, GSP had a hard time passing his guard, KoS answered with elbows/punches from the bottom, and took basically no damage from GSP gnp. KOS also was also able to keep GSP down for half of the first. You could even argue, that Kos could have won round 1 with his takedown, the escape, and work from the botom. Overall though Kos took very little damage in that fight and was able to keep GSP in his guard for a good portion of the fight while on the ground.
I like Kos against Daley as well. I don’t think Daley has the takedown defense to deal with Kos. I love how Daley (in the countdown) says that in America wrestling is a big deal but in the UK it doesn’t mean shit. Umm, maybe that would explain why there are only 2 UK contenders in all of MMA! No offense to the UK fan base, but in all seriousness wrestling time and time again-has been proven to be the best base for mma. Kos is playing the game and there is no way the Jackson Camp is preparing him for anymore stand up then what is neccessary to set up the takedown.

I apologize I had GSP on the brain while writing this and was watching the fight again as I was typing. The last person I saw before getting to that last part was Greg JAckson with GSP, lol!

you people act like Daley is the fuckin TRUTH when it comes to striking; I can name so many fighters who’s striking has impressed me much more than his; he’s got power but he’s not some technical genius by any stretch of the imagination. Kos will win this fight; and I for one WON’T be surprised if he does KO Daley. Kos takes fights on short notice, he fights top guys, he fights guys with no name, he don’t care. This man has earned some respect; regardless of whether you like his attitude or not he’s a real fighter and he’s by no means a coward. I’m rooting for Kos, he’s had enough hate, time for Koscheck to get some respect and have some fans. The man is putting his entire being into this sport and you can tell by the improvements from fight to fight. LETS GET IT JOSH!!!

He's explosive and he does have better technique
Straight punches, leg kicks, knees, mixes it all up; the only thing I’ve seen Daley doing thus far is wing punches, look at the Kampmann gif; left hand, left hand, left hand etc.. wtf is impressive about that???

I do think Daley is a good fighter; I don’t dislike the guy or say he doesn’t belong where he’s at, but everyone here is acting like it’s IMPOSSIBLE for Kos to catch him with a solid shot and that’s completely ridiculous. You see Jits guys or wrestlers every now and again KO a world class striker by chance cause anything can happen in MMA. Then you take a guy like Kos who has decent hands and sit here with the “HAHAHA he’s a dumbass” comments like there’s no way in hell he could even touch Daley. That’s ignorant.

look at many of his other fights and you’ll see he throws knee’s and kicks too and i dont mean just his fights in the ufc

I just don’t see some technical brilliance/mastery that would suggest Koscheck has absolutley no chance if they get into an exchange.

out of that entire list, you only named one welterweight? i guess Daley only has to worry about the de facto number one contender in his weight class then… which kind of makes sense.
but he is mos def one of the premier strikers at welterweight. and i think his striking is better than BJ’s. a stiff jab for two rounds will not beat the ko power Daley brings

Koshcheck will get his respect when he stops being a dick, and for you information Daley is one of the most technically sound strikers in the UFC if not the world with more experience than KOS. Besides he hasnt been KO’d either unlike KOS the only way KOS could possibly win this is by a submission but still thats unlikely. Daley by TKO or KO 2nd round.

He did take the fight on short notice and he did trade strikes with Alves for 3 rds and walked out of the cage on his own two feet. What’s Daley going to throw at him that Alves/Rumble couldn’t?

Two weeks notice and he still went 3 rounds with Alves.
No one gives Kos credit for stepping in on TWO weeks notice against the #3 WW in the world (although I think he was #4 and Kos was #3 when they fought, but still).
The short camp was also why he could not take Alves down. He did nto want to burn himself out after being stuffed early (IMO).

Alves does NOT I repeat does NOT have the PUNCHING power that Daley has. Alves is known for his knees and leg kicks. His hands are no where near as deadly as Daley.
Alves can’t box for shit, any good boxer that wants to focus on throwing hard can do it. A huge misconception seems to be that ppl think there are different level of dynamite in all fighters hands. Truth is you need technique to deliver hard power shots.
Paul Daley is the best WW striker without a doubt and he is probably the best allround kickboxer in the UFC.
He would have been on his back before the first punch if he was fighting gsp

He actually catches him on the thumb side of the fist which is kinda the same punch John Howard caught his last opponent on the ground with. Both guys, Daley and Howard, must have some pretty good power to hurt guys with a hook contacted with the inside of the hand and not the traditional front or top of the fist.
As stubborn as Koscheck might appear, I think he’ll fight a smarter fight like he did against Rumble and end up getting Daley to the ground for some GNP or sub.

At the very end of the video when it says
KOSCHECK they should change that to BBBBB SSSSS he is not fooling anyone he wont stand with daley unless he spends a full round pounding on him, which means daley will drop those hands in the second and get caught, of course if Daley can keep it standing its nighty night fool!

I hope Kos loses, but...
I honestly see Kos winning this fight. Daley is really good, but if you look at his record, it’s not like he’s so impressive and unbeatable. He definitely has holes and if he can beat Kos, that’s great. But I wouldn’t bet on him.

Kos stud up & banged with a Jonson who’s a bigger version of Paul Daley. Kos is the better fighter & I think he has the best chance against gsp besides Jake sheilds. Shud be a gr8 fight can’t wait for it.

And gsp tapped to serra, shit happens and the kos tko was controversial, he was still ready to go, kos was the last guy to win a round against gsp and he has improved leaps and bounds since then, I really want to see them throw down again.
It's hard to predict...
what will happen here. If you watch the Thiago Alves fight again, Koscheck stood with him the whole fight (apart from a few stuffed TDA’s) and got completely dismantled. I honestly believe that leg-kicks played a big part in that fight though. Then again he stood for a while with Rumble and Lytle before taking them down. I think the real question here is whether or not Koscheck is going to try to “make a point” and stand with Semtex. He’s not a complete fighter, he cant fight off his back and his striking is not up to a top level.

In fact the only time I can remember seeing that is when he fought GSP; and there’s a lot of guys who can’t fight off their back with GSP on top of them. He’s a more complete fighter than Semtex.

Koscheck does have power in his hands,
has pretty good stand up and is capable of knocking anyone out if he lands one, that is what makes his statement not that far fetched. It should be a good one, with Koscheks takedowns probably giving him another rear naked choke win.
It's not far fetched at all especially in MMA
We’ve seen wrestlers and jits guys KO top strikers, it’s a once in a blue moon thing but it happens; I don’t see how anyone can take a guy like Kos who actually does have some decent hands and say he has no chance of KOing Daley, ridiculous.

But to be honest it was the biggest upset in MMA history. If Daley takes koschecks stand up too lightly he might get tko’d. I believe koscheck took Paulo lightly, thought he was a joke, for gods sake even the commentators were dissing his stand up before koscheck got cracked. If koshcheck is wise he’ll be a complete MMA fighter in this fight and not a boxer, maybe 70 percent grappling vs 30 standup.

Koscheck is like Matt Hughes with marginally better stand-up. Both guys talk shit like they actually know how to throw a punch, when Hughes can hardly throw a simple 1-2 and Koscheck can only throw an overhand right.
I agree that if Koscheck fights to his own strengths he’ll likely win. On the feet he’s useless against Daley. On the feet he’s useless with any decent striker.
