Strikeforce Challengers adds Lindland vs Casey and Bowling vs Voelker to May 21 event
Strikeforce is starting to round out their fight card for the upcoming "Challengers" event on May 21, set to go down from the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon, live via the Showtime network.
Up-and-coming middleweight Kevin Casey (3-1) will try to make a name for himself against former Olympic wrestling silver medalist and longtime mixed martial arts veteran Matt Lindland (21-7).
"The Law" had a rough 2009, dropping back-to-back losses to Vitor Belfort (Affliction) and Ronaldo Souza (Strikeforce). "King" Kevin on the other hand is the winner of three straight, including two consecutive submission finishes.
Joining the fray is undefeated rising star Roger Bowling (7-0) making his Strikeforce debut opposite hard-hitting brawler Bobby Voelker (21-7).
"Relentless'' has been on an absolute tear, creaming all seven opponents he faced from 2007-10. Only one of those contests made it out of the first round. "Vicious" hopes to break that streak with his experience and grappling skills.
Strikeforce Challengers 8 will also feature unbeaten welterweight Tyron "T-Wood" Woodley (6-0) against Nathan Coy (8-2) while Kerry Vera and Julianna "The Venezuelan Vixen" Pena (2-0) collide in a battle of 135-pound female prospects.

I remember...
when Lindland was alway considered to be un the top 5 of middleweights. He was always over rated in my opinion, his whole career.

Roger Bowling… kid is gonna be GOOD
I disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it

Voelker is no walk in the park himself, should be a good match up

Kevin Casey is a scumbag.
Promoted himself to blackbelt which is when Rickson sent Kron to beat his ass and toss him into the streets from their school which is exactly what happened.

Probably true as hell though......
All the years I wrestled I knew many many wrestlers that wouldn’t shower a couple of days before matches and lots of wrestlers albeit not as many that wouldn’t wipe their ass properly for “tactics” sake.
The Pain Train's in full steam ! ABM's look out.
what the hell kinda tactic can be gained from not wiping?!

how bad would you want to be on a guy that literally smells like shit?
