Hell even an accomplished mma boxer like Kharitonov getting his legs chewed out in K-1 is proof that arrogance is not a good idea when crossing into different sports.
That said- Mayorga will not fight Din. Until they are inside a cage and someoen says go no one in the world will convince me that mayorga isn’t gonna threaten the promoters to back out unless they offer him a new contract to match his boxing paydays.

Mayorga’s going to look really clever when he’s on the floor gasping for breath while Din chokes the air out of him. I hope Din submits the mug in 60 seconds. Then ANOTHER boxer will look like a mug after trying MMA.

Mayorga’s boxing could actually translate well into mma.. Not saying he will be a force in mma but his hands could pose some real problems for some people if they take him lightly..

I like the trash talking. Too many fighters are not good at trash talking. I guess its the same reason I enjoyed Hardy and Sonnen’s comments. Although being able to back it up is better than talking trash.

Mayorga sucks
He could have been one of the best boxers of all time, but we’ve seen it in the MMA as well, bad attitude, missing weight, getting arrested multiple times…bottom line is Mayorga has lost tons of money to Don King, now this is the only way he can make a buck, but I hope to all mighty that Din subs him..please sub him

but, this aint boxing, big boy. Din should get the takedown and GNP him for a little while then just pick whatever sub he wants to use.

I hope Din takes this personally
and doesn’t look immediately for the submission once he takes him down. I would rather see him show Mayorga what the ground game is all about by beating on him with some GnP before eventually submitting him. I admit I don’t know how experienced Mayorga is in other MMA disciplines, but if he thinks he’s going to dominate with just boxing he’s in for a painful night.
Well, Ricardo may be bitting off more than he can chew.
When Thomas closes the distance and gets him on the ground, what can Mayorga do? Nothing! He stands not chance if it goes to the ground. Thomas has good enough Thai to get inside on him. It’s gonna be funny watching Mayorga getting a check kick the first time. Then even funnier, watching Mayorga getting mounted for the first time. And the final laugh comes when he is choked out for the first time. Maybe Din Thomas will be suspended 90 days like Palhares was for holding on too long.
