WEC 49: Josh Grispi vs LC Davis booked for June 20 in Edmonton
Fast-rising featherweight prospect Josh Grispi will look to continue his ascension to the top of the rankings when he battles fellow up-and-comer L.C. Davis at the upcoming WEC 49 event scheduled for June 20 at the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Grispi (13-1) hasn't seen the inside of the cage since making quick work of fading legend Jens Pulver at WEC 41: "Brown vs. Faber 2" last June. "The Fluke" is currently riding a nine-fight winning streak and is undefeated under the WEC banner.
He'll need to be at the top of his game to overcome the well-traveled wrestler, as Davis (16-2) is also perfect as a WEC fighter and has notable wins over Javier Vasquez, Diego Nunes and Bao Quach.
WEC 49 will be making its Canadian debut right on the heels of UFC 115 -- which will also go down in Canada (Vancouver) on June 12. A match-up between Ed Ratcliff and Canada's own Chris Horodecki is currently the only other fight scheduled for the card.

LC Davis should be 1-2 in his last three fights....
yet thanks to idiot judges. Grispi will hopefully be in an underdog.

what does this guy have to do
to get his title shot? Josh Grispi deserves it man, he’s beaten legit guys.
and besides Aldo, Brown, and Faber, who else can compete for the title?
throw him in the mix.
i actually think grispi's height scares off the top guys.
you saw how fast he put that submission on pulver? this is not a bad fight b/c grispi is coming off an injury. he does deserve a title shot when he beats this guy.

Is this another PPV?
Or will it be broadcast on cable?
It’s a Versus show

You know what we do in Edmonton?
We sit around in the freezing fucking north waiting for MMA events to transpire. They tell us they are gonna send us a WEC card and what do we get? Grispi? Davis? Horodecki? BRUTAL.
This shit will still sell out in hours. Boouurns.
