UFC 112 medical suspensions and injuries for 'Invincible'

Ouch

Medical suspensions have been released for the fighters competing at UFC 112: "Invincible," which took place on Saturday, April 10, 2010, from the Concert Arena in Abu Dhabi and come courtesy of Fighter's Only.

With several of the bouts ending early (and violently), there were a handful of fighters who were flagged follow up visits with their doctors.

Chief among them is Demian Maia for the damage he sustained after Anderson Silva started breakdancing on his face. Joining him on the injured reserves is welterweight Renzo Gracie after the jiu-jitsu phenom had his leg battered into oblivion by former division champion Matt Hughes.

But that's not all.

Here is the complete list of UFC 112 injuries and their medical instructions:

Star-divide

Brad Blackburn: 45 days no contest (30 days no contact).
Demian Maia: 60 days no contest (45 days no contact). CT Scan required on head, face and orbital with Doctor's clearance or minimum 180 days.
Kendall Grove: 30 days no contest (21 days no contact).
Matt Veach: 45 days no contest (30 days no contact).
Phil Davis: 30 days no contest (21 days no contact).
Renzo Gracie: 30 days no contest (21 days no contact).
Rick Story: 30 days no contest (21 days no contact). X-ray required on right knee and left elbow with Doctor's clearance or minimum 180 days.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.

Suicide most likely......

Oh, yes, Meg, yes-yes yes, everything was going swimmingly for you until this. Yes, yes, THIS is the thing that will ruin your reputation, not your years of grotesque appearance, or your awkward social graces, or that Felix Ungerish way you clear your sinuses, no no no, it's THIS. Do you hear yourself talk? I might kill you tonight.

I was wondering about PB myself

I didnt realize it at the time, but the BJ loss was one of the best things that could have happened on this MB

Didn't NJMMAFAN and PB

have a bet that whoever’s fighter won, the other had to delete their account?

Maia could be out 180 nasty, Hope he gets that eye cleared, I didn’t know about that not blowing your nose thing.. Pretty narly.

I think he is just avoiding the site for all the bashing he would be taking.

I fully expect him/her to show up next week……..

all his comments are gone.

don't make a bet you can't pay.

I agree with what you say most of the time Dragon...

but joking about someone killing themself = not funny. Not even a little imo.

It my defense though..........

I would only joke about it in the most unlikely situations. I mean seriously there is no way any one would kill themselves ove their favorite fighter losing. It wasn’t like I posted it knowing that he was having a personal problem or something………..

I was laughing my ass off when Anderson busted his face up in the first two rounds.

A win is a win, i wasn’t satisfied or entertained by GSP’s performance either and i don’t hear Dana going mad on him.

Dak you should know

that you can respond to anyone in the thread and engage them in conversation, but if you respond to john then you are on his nuts.

by JRE on Apr 13, 2010 12:43 PM EDT up reply actions

Thanks for the clarification JRE

While it was fairly spacious there in his pants for a moment, I was starting to chafe on the Fedor Blow Up doll.

In the future I will refrain engaging John (or his testicles).

No respect for the greatest fighter in the world its hillarious to see. Im just glad to see him perform. Maia will be eating through a straw for a few months for sure. when Anderson popped his nose he pointed and laughed to break him some more i noticed. He had the guy litrely shitting himself through fear. Maia said he was going to use his ground game so why didnt he? why was he in there then? all the hate should be at Maia.

I was a fool to think Bisping had any chance against the Axe Murderer, and even more foolish to bet agaisnt the great Puck Head.

agreed, Anderson is the champ Maia is the one that needed to come forward not Anderson.
