This card is awesome!

Is there any way to watch it in the UK? I pay for ESPN, so would be pretty annoyed if we didn’t get this event.

I don't even know how to watch it in the US.

I’ve never heard of “Versus” till this event was announced. They’re calling it “free TV” but I don’t get any stations like that.

Posted this yesterday in a thread

This was pasted of the UFC website and yes they did spell Canada with a lower case c
…. yankee bastards.

I want Ricardo Arona to sign with the UFC and his first fight should be James Toney. This is a win win scenario for MMA

I thought canadia was officially a lower-case-only country.

that’s right, I called it canadia. When you start calling yourselves canadans or GSP kicks my ass, I’ll revise it. Till then, canadians are from canadia, canadans are from canada. Spell check is from America! What up!

Just playin’ guys, don’t get your beer bongs in a wad!

You've done it now mate, watch out for the hockey sticks and bags of milk

"Not a lot of professional sports down here (in Australia)"
"We just had our best season (of TUF) last season and it was season 10"
"Nogueira is probabaly the best HW of all time"

Dana White, proving that he's clueless about Australian sports, has never heard of Fedor and is still trying to hype up TUF 10.

for real, eh!

There’s a mouse in my bag of milk, and like I didn’t put it there eh! So like those guys want a capital letter in their name, eh. So lets give ’em a capital “H” for “Hoser”! Good call, eh! Take a hike!

Cheers

Last I searched I couldn’t get any info on it.

If it’s on ESPN then that’s me sorted at least.

“Bones” last stop before the title?

I would say there are still a couple more stops on that trip.

Yeah

Bones is IMO two fights away. A win here, then a step up vs maybe Thiago Silva or winner Lil Nog/Forrest….someone along those lines.

by domino effect on Mar 9, 2010 6:15 PM EST up reply actions

2 more and then give him the shot!

I think he’s 2 fights away as well. If he dominates Vera, and then dominates someone like Thiago Silva, then you could argue that he deserves the shot IMO. At that point he would have dominated everyone that he’s fought in the UFC.

rediculous question!

How the hell is beating unranked Vera gonna give a newb a title shot in arguably the most stacked division in UFC history?

by (shonuff) on Mar 9, 2010 6:55 PM EST up reply actions

I guess Vera’s overseas appeal and previous main event status gets him the nod.

Really looking forward to both fights, as well as Kongo KO’ing Buentello and a Sakara/Irvin brawl to kick things off. Too bad AJ/Howard fell through though.

Gonzo beats that

Gonzo fought for the title more recently and has that famous highlight reel KO of CC. And JDS is closer to a title shot than Bones or Vera.

But you’re right, its a damn good card! No huge names or TOP 3s, but a lot of good fighters in very interesting matchups.

jones/vera as main event really makes no sense

I’m excited for it believe me. But jds/gg really should have the top spot. Bones needs to beat a lot more then vera to get a title shot.
