Boxing Poll
via www.livestreamingonline.info
As many of us know, I just remembered yesterday, there is a boxing match this weekend that could destroy the dream fight of Pacquiao vs Mayweather. Joshua Clottey with a record of 35-3-1 is taking on the man many consider the P4P boxing champion, arguably, Manny Pacquiao. However, March 13, 2010 was the date Pacman was to take on the loud mouth Gayweather, but as we all know by now someone is ducking the other.
The reason for this poll is to find out how many of you are excited for Pacquiao vs. Clottey which will take place at Cowboy Stadium. Is anybody buying this PPV or do you even care about this fight?

I’ll be buying it, of course. Clottey has never been knocked down in his career. His size, good jab, and tight defense will present an interesting challenge for Pac.
This could be the last time we get to see one of the all-time greats perform. A throwback fighter. A brawler with the skill of the a young Roy Jones and the heart of a lion. Watching Pacquiao is watching greatness personified. Like watching Jordan and Gretzky in their primes.
At most he has one or two fights left before he calls it a career. I won’t miss it.

it won't be his last fight...we all know that
Fedor invented a language that incorporates Sambo and Kimuras.
So next time FEDOR is kicking your ass, don't be offended or hurt, he may be just trying to tell you he likes your hat.
Clottey is an unknown to the mainstream but he is a very legit/tough fight for Pacman. This is not a done deal for Pacman by any stretch of the imagination. IF Clottey pulls out a W it will be surprising but not shocking. However, I expect Pacman to wi

It is actually a pretty crazy fight for Pac to take. Pacquiao’s style does not match up well with Clottey at all. And if Pac wins, casual boxing fans say “so what? Who’s Clottey?” It just further proves that Pac wants to take on the best challenges out there since Mayweather keeps dodging him.
Greatness should overcome, but I will be half surprised if Pac can put Clottey away.

Mayweather/Moseley winner and P. Williams are viable bouts...
although I don’t know if Williams can still make 147.
I am not buying based upon the politics. The next bout I buy will be Pacman/Mayweather-Moseley winner, or the last boxing PPV I ever buy will be Pacman/Cotto.

Williams is too big for Pacquiao. The guy should fight at 160. He’d be better with a little more pop in his punches.

Yeah, Williams is a more technical, slick boxer than a puncher. Last fight I saw was when he beat Margarito Hands of Plaster Cheating-Motherfucker. How does P-Will look now?

Fantastic boxer, still a little too tentative from the perimeter for my liking. And still lacks power. Too thin at 154.

I agree with you, but his camp still says he wants to be relevant at 147. (bigger paydays)

Yeah, that’s the money division right now. Too bad, because he isn’t really hurting guys at 154.

I want to see this fight but...
it is a little tarnished to me because Pacman just blew out Cotto. Cotto just beat Clottey in a close fight just before. Clottey is a rugged tough full blown WW and I think it will be a good fight. I don’t really see how Clottey can pull out a Win, he just doesn’t let his hands go enough to win against a offensive fighter like Paquiao.
Styles make fights. Cotto/Clottey was pretty much a wash, but Clottey presents a much more challenging fight for Pacman stylewise. He is tight defensively and has a head like a brick. He won’t get caught reaching forward and being over agressive like Cotto.

I'm saying maybe, but I will watch it if I get the chance.
Pacman is one of my favorite fighters because he is always ready for a fight and is entertaining.

Should be a good fight
It’s on for free on Sky so I can’t complain, I’ll probabaly tape the fight and watch it later in the week. Clottey is good but he shouldn’t pose too much of a threat to Manny, it all depends on how much the other distractions will cost him. Being accused of using PEDs, missing out on the fight of the century and embarking on a run at office in the Phillipines could prevent Manny from being 100% prepared. Then again Pacman had to deal with a tsunami in the Phillipines during his training camp there for the Cotto fight and we all know how good he looked in that fight. I’m confident that Manny will continue to improve and will do his part to make the superfight with Sugar or Money. I’m calling a Pacman TKO in the 10th, making him the first man to ever stop Clottey.

Must suck having to watch fights at weird times. Like when I want to see a Man U game, lol. If I were you I’d DVR it and watch it later with “my mates and a few pints o’ the black stuff”.

Man it sucks big time, couldn’t tell you the amount of times I have fell asleep before some big fights, or even worse after havin my mates round been too drunk to remembe who even won the fights!!!

I normally don't have too many problems staying up for the fights, can't say the same for my mates though haha
I usually get them taped because I only have the Sky and ESPN channels at my parent’s house, so I get them to send me the tapes during term time. Usually I watch the fights before then as well if I can find them. Even when I’m back I usually end up going out on Saturday nights anyway and am either too late or too drunk to watch the shows.

thanks for posting
i did forget all about the fight
I want Ricardo Arona to sign with the UFC and his first fight should be James Toney. This is a win win scenario for MMA
I did too and only remembered because my gf's brother is going to watch it live.

I completely forgot about this fight until this poll. Cant say i wont watch it because my neighbor gets all the big boxing matches (like 3 or 4 a year) and i’ll probably watch it at his house.
Wow, only two are buying it so far.
I read they are only selling 45,000 tickets and have sold 41,000 already, but they hope it sells out by Saturday night.

I’m not surprised. Most of the posters on this site have a real inferiority complex about boxing. 90% of the deadbeats on here aren’t buying MMA PPVs either, they just bitch about them. The only difference is that this time they’re actually being honest.

Haha to be fair international fans don't buy PPVs anyway, we get these cards on digital TV
The only boxing cards that are PPVs involve English fighters, which works for me as we end up getting the better cards for free and at least most of the English PPVs are on at reasonable times so I can go to the pub and see the fight.
