Strikeforce Middleweight Champion and one of Cesar Gracie's most accomplished students, Jake Shields, tells MMAWeekly that he doesn't approve of his mentor's decision to allow the steroid stool-pigeon into their gym to learn mixed martial arts for what seems like a means to a quick Jose payday. Canseco has been lobbying hard for a Herschel Walker fight despite Scott Coker promising that Strikeforce wasn't in the Jose Canseco business -- but is there a market for him somewhere else?

Jake is 100% right about Jose,
he would do anything for money including throwing you under the bus. As sad as this whole Hershel/Jose thing is in MMA I would think Hershel would kick his ass. That said I wont be watching so fill your boots boys!!!!!!

I was appalled to hear that Jose Canseco had been invited to train at Cesar Gracie’s, good for Jake for calling this guy out for being a scumbag. The last thing that him and El Nino need before their career defining title defences against Hendo and Aoki is to have their time wasted by a roid head snitch baseball hack looking for a quick payday in a sport that he has no right in being associated with.

Canseco is such a douche bag. Atleast we will be able to see him get bombed on from time to time. Still, I have no idea why C.G would let him in the gym. The Diaz brothers are pretty trashy but the talent and drive makes up for it. FYI, I have lived in Stockton before so they are just a true product of their environment. Glad to see them make an honest living
