Just seems like a likely scenario for Dana to put together. Nothing Dana would like more than to see a pro-boxer get KOd by a rookie UFCer. Dufee is someone people are talking about enough that the fight would interest MMA fans and boxing fans alike. But if Dufee eats it, it doesn’t hurt the UFC’s reputation at all because he’s a newb.
While I completely understand why Randy wants a crack at this guy while his stock is still high and his experience is low and he’s ripe pickens for TDs, and Fans would love to see a 6-time world boxing champ against a 5 time world MMA champ (lots of money in this), Dana won’t risk losing face by having his most decorated hero risk getting KOd by a guy stepping into the cage for the first time. He’d never hear the end of it from all the MMA haters in boxing.

he got a tv deal before he signed fedor and fedor has only been on 1 card in the last 4 years.

m1 is definantly realizing turning down dana's offer was a complete mistake
they’re only 1 fight into the deal and already unhappy with the contract….now dana can lowball them…and get fedor even cheaper…cause now he realizes fedor has nowhere else to go so m1 has nothing else to bargain with….they’ve only had 1 fight and already realizing they’re contract was a mistake…..they’re trying to get more money but sf will never be able to offer the money that ufc did….
and now sf has went running to dana saying “hey man sorry we said no, is that offer still on the table? we’re not happy with sf” and dana can be like…“man sorry, that was a one time offer…yea we’ll still take fedor but it will be for much less now since you no longer can threaten me with sf”
my dream fight would have to be Brock Lesnar vs Jake Shields...and before the fight theres a video of jake slapping brock's wife...then id like to see shields try to gay porn a win over brock using his butt sex merry-go-round tactics...the massacre that would take place would be the greatest thing ever televised...every limb jake has would look like corey hill's leg...god i hate jake shields
Fedor has other options
although Barnett is the only credible challenge to him outside of UFC/SF, he’ll never have trouble making money even if he never sets foot on American soil again. Japan will pay the guy buttloads to fight Sumo wrestlers and Mario Pudzinowskis and Badr Haris and Charlton Heston and people like that.
