Frank Mir out, Stephan Bonnar in for WEC 47 color commentary

With less than a month to go before his colossal showdown with fellow heavyweight contender Shane Carwin at UFC 111 in Newark, former division champion Frank Mir will temporarily step down from his role as WEC color commentator to concentrate on one of the biggest fights of his life.
Replacing him for the WEC 47: "Bowles vs. Cruz" event from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus is another familiar voice and "colorful" personality, Stephan Bonnar.
"The American Psycho" is no stranger to the cageside announcer's table. He earned praise for his commentary during the UFC 59: "Reality Check" main event when friend (and sometimes foe) Forrest Griffin took on Tito Ortiz.
Mir is expected to resume his WEC commentating duties after the UFC 111 event on March 27.
WEC 47 will take place in Columbus, Ohio and features a bantamweight title bout in which Brian Bowles makes his first title defense against Dominick Cruz. In addition, a showdown between former 135-pound champion Miguel Torres and top contender Joseph Benavidez is featured in the co-main event.

If Stephan does a good job then this will be his post-fight career if he loses the Kris rematch
He did a good job the last time he was a commentator and always comes off well on MMA Live so I think that this is a smart move. Hopefully Bonnar will get more chances at being a commentator for the UFC and WEC, beats listening to Mir and Rogan cheering for their favourites or the play by play guys getting away with meaningless generic comments.

Dana White, proving that he's clueless about Australian sports, has never heard of Fedor and is still trying to hype up TUF 10.
And he doesn't go around publicly wishing death on people.

So then I got sad cuz he wus just missing broadcacting., But then I got happy realy fast cuz I thought he was never broadcasting again, But then i got sad again cuz he is coming back. Lot of emotions in a 5 second span.

who hates “sensationalized headlines.” What business does he think we’re in? Besides, I never turn down an opportunity to laugh at my own jokes.

I love watching the WEC ( sometimes more than an UFC event ) but Frank Mir’s commentary almost ruins it for me every time. He just never shuts up sometimes, doesn’t add any excitement to the fights , always talking in that monotone way, stumbles on his words constantly, arrgh I could go on and on . Don’t get me wrong I agree that he’s knowledgeable but he just doesn’t make it exciting like Rogan does.
