UFC Fight Night 21 odds and betting lines for 'Florian vs Gomi' on March 31
I know, I know, you're still hurting because you failed to listen to Nostradumbass (again) and didn't bet the house on Shane Carwin at last week's UFC 111 event from Newark.
Well, buck up little trooper, because opportunities will soon arise at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 21 event from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC.
There's a couple of televised bouts with +220 underdogs (Rivera) that have Nostradumbass licking his chops.
Does Roy Nelson believe he's a world class striker after knocking out Bendan Schaub? Will Nate Quarry gas out in the second round? Will we so "the old Gomi" on Wednesday night?
Answering "yes" to any one of those questions should have you giving these lines a second look.
Anything is possible in this sport -- and those who lay down some cheddar on the underdogs come March 31 stand to make a healthy profit. Assuming you win, of course. Anyone thinking parlay? Take a look at the numbers and let's hear your play.

Gonna have to lay some $$ down on Struve
Uno at +220 might be good for a small bet too.

Just dont do it on that site...
I understand that Mania has to make cash through affiliates but couldn’t they partner up with multiple sites and post the best odds from a selection?
Pinnaclesports.com has Struve at +271 and Uno at +245, so if you planning a move on those guys…
Lesnar > [Carwin] ---> Lesnar > [Velasquez] ---> Lesnar > [JDS]
Overeem will NOT show up on May 15th! Mark my words. Sig stays til then.
I will have my money on Struve too.
The only lock in this card is Florian.

The only person in the wor4ld who is a lock against Gomi is BJ Penn!
I really like Struve in this fight..Unless Fat Country gets Struves skinny ass in a crucifix…then its trouble!
Gleison is too big to be subbed by Uno
I like Ross, but Siver is a striker who has been improving a lot recently!
John G - why would you pick Gomi over KenFlo. Thoughts?

I would go with Gomi over Florian
there are not a lot of LW fighters with one shot stopping power like Gomi. Florian is very elusive but he can be trapped with the right footwork and now Gomi is training in the U.S his footwork should of improved for this fight
Some men are alive simpley because it is against the law to kill them
That one shot stopping power has been MIA lately
Gomi hasn’t exactly benn lighting guys up lately and I can’t see training in the US having THAT much impact on his game at this stage. Kenny is just better all around than Gomi and has many different tools at his disposal.

OJR: Im not saying Gomi will beat Kenflow!
I am done picking Japanese mma fighters winning there octagon debuts….transition from Japan to USA mma is just too much…ontop of that Gomi is being thrown to the wolves. Ken flow is one of the toughest opponents a Japanese mma fighter has had to face in his Octagon debut,…..However, a motivated Gomi is one bad mofo!
Gomi’s boxing is awesome. Not really technical, but very powerful and effective. Like Liddell in his prime, he is one of the few people that can get the KO even while retreating. If Gomi hits Ken flow, Kenny is going down! Gomi is also a very under rated wrestler. He should be able to dictate where this fighrt takes place.
I question the weight cut, especially double weigh in. Gomi was having a hard time making the opride 163 lb limit, so we will see how that factors into this fight.
I have NO prediction at all on this fight….I was just pointing out that Kenny beating Gomi is NO LOCK! Only person that is a lock against Gomi is Penn!
Gomi in the Octagon is truly a dream come true for me!
I want to see Gomi vs. Frankie Edgar!
Odds
I really like Big Country but Struve will be an excellent bet to recoup my losses from Saturday.

I posted thi in another thread
Siver better not be overlooked. As long as he doesn’t get star struck with being in the main card, I think he has a great chance at beating Ross. Ross gets A lot of lobe here, and I think he’s got a great future and if he dominates siver then mad props.
Rivera is either hit or miss in his performance. When he’s on, he’s a monster. Got good power and is pretty accurate, ESP in close and in the clinch. If creduer was able to tag Nate that many times, Jorge should be able to get him good. If bate gasses by the 3rd, the Rivera by tko.
For the record I pick siver and quarry
My breakout fighter for this coming year: Terry Etim
Upset of the Year: John Hathaway over Diego Sanchez

i was watchign a lot of tap yesterday coz i really liked the lines on Siver
and really as long as he fights from range and doesn’t let ross pin him into the cage he’s got a great shot. He has nice counters, good head movement and is good at circling and returnign to center. Bad thing is Ross has a very good and tight guard when boxing. In the clinch he’ll definitely overwhelm him. He;s quickly developing a very slick hybrid clinch attack that you rarely see. I still have to decide but i am thinking of him and maybe parlaying him with either gomi or struve.

Why Gomi over Kenflo? Analysis?

Actually i think Kenflo will win a nip tuck decision over gomi. I was discussing it with Big Zino yesterday...
But i do think the betting line is off which is why i am taking the bet. The real issue is that Kenny doesn’t have fire power to hurt gomi standing, i bet few guys do. Gomi’s wrestling also allows him to dictate where the fight takes place. Few guys at LW can outwrestle him IMO. This also lessens the chance of getting into scrambles where i do think kenflo has the advantage. Kenny’s kicks will keep him away and his boxing is definitely cleaner but Gomi’s power is a definite equalizer. We saw kenny get buzzed by some of BJ’s shots. BJ was being patient – if gomi hurts you, you can be sure he’ll put you away. And even though he’s been on the decline he’s only really suceptible to guys with slick sub games not a smash game like kennys. Even then gomi still has a decent grappling game himself and has faced many a blackbelts. Also in his recent loses, even in dreadful shape he lost because it was a straight up robbery. So from my point of view i see value in that 220-250 range especially if you can parlay with another dog.: big payout for small change. You can offset your bet with a favorite to recover.

new to MMA betting
but….say if i put 30$ down on Linhares…how much would i get if i went??
It looks like he is a huge underdog, i could see him getting a KO/TKO
thanks P-dub
im not sure who im betting on, but that clears up some questions
don't forget...
I believe that Kenny is training at TriStar occasionally now, that is gonna help his development as a fighter IMO. I don’t know a lot about Gomi, as I have not seen many of his fights, but KenFlo seems to improve every time he fights (sans the BJ fight, but BJ makes many fighters look stupid), and think he has more ways to finish Gomi. I say kenflo puts him on his back and dominates from there.
......
Gomi is a good solid bet
Kenny will only win doing the same exact thing he did vs BJ go for takes downs non-stop till you get him down then drop elbows, didnt work against BJ obviously because his takedown D is amazing it can work vs Gomi. If Kenny thinks he can strike with Gomi he should go to sleep round 1.
If you dont like drugs then dont do them.....give them to me!
Nostradumbass getting kinda full of himself, eh?
A lot of ppl picked Carwin, you know, it wasn’t much of a revelation.
