Report: UFC 115 in Vancouver still on the ropes
The Canadian Press brings word that the planed UFC 115 event in Vancouver appears to be a no-go and that the promotion is looking at other possible venues for the card.
Here's a snip:
"A planned UFC show in Vancouver in June is on the ropes, apparently due to insurance and other issues. A source told The Canadian Press that the show has been called off and the mixed martial arts promoter is looking at Cincinnati as a possible replacement city. The UFC has not officially announced the Vancouver card, other than to say that it planned to go there in June. The show had been pegged for June 15 at GM Place. UFC president Dana White said he could not comment on any issues affecting Vancouver. But a second source said the two sides had yet to resolve insurance and other indemnification matters."
Add this news to MMAmania.com's report a while back about the possibility of UFC 115 getting scratched from Vancouver, and it appears likely that the event will have to find a new home.
As the report states, Cincinnati, Ohio, looks to be the early favorite.

I heard the same thing on Friday. This would be a major PR blow and the precedent would delay Ontario for EEEEEEEver.
Anybody own an insurance company to help these poor boys out?

Yeah, we really need to catch up to Saskatoon’s level of awesomeness.
Just to help get that started, I’m going to march out of my double-wide clad in sweatpants right now to buy a flat of Lucky lager and impregnate my 15 year-old cousin.

boooo saskatoon! bunch of emo's!
Their just like a mini BC. Lol Vancouver, the only place in the world with an actual walk in druggie daycare where you sit down, tell them your addiction and they provide it for you for free so you don’t buy more drugs helping the dealers and share needles. Not lying at all. Meth, coke, heroin, whatever your drug of choice, walk in, sit down and use it in their controlled environment.
Sure sounds like a place that may have an alarming amount of druggies to me. Maybe I’m crazy.

lol
Fedor invented a language that incorporates Sambo and Kimuras.
So next time FEDOR is kicking your ass, don't be offended or hurt, he may be just trying to tell you he likes your hat.
Yep, that defines Vancouver. Gigantic, spectacularly beautiful druggy daycare center. It’s not like the Prairies have any substance abuse issues. After all, there aren’t many Native Indians there or anything…
I wish I could gaze off into the vast, boring, frozen nothingness of Saskatchewan every morning, fantasizing about what a woman with an entire set of healthy teeth looks like. Before you know it you guys will have your very own Wendy’s.
You’re living the dream, Worbster.

also nothing like knowing
…that whatever women your with in BC (Kelowna especially) will leave you for whatever guy has more money, and suck a guy off in a club stall for a pill of E or a line of coke. Only the classy Canada Hollywood life there. But hey if you are ever an inspiring model, or fashion designer, look no further then the hoity toity big shots of lucious Vancouver. Home of the “real folk”. Lol a mini TMZ there.

Aww.
You country folk are so precious when you get all angry at us big-city book-learnin’ types. Just ‘cause you can’t get into many of the clubs here doesn’t mean you should just give up, Daniel.
You’ve got a point about the women here bro, but isn’t it the same all over? I mean, if your girl found out that the guy who lives down the dirt road has a bigger pile of empties in his shed, wouldja really trust her over there without you? What if he had a handful of seven-dollar Rough Riders tickets? Or a really big cowbell?
Things are hard all over, man.

first off
The only thing HARD all over is me! Secondly the riders are the have the biggest legion of fans around. We bleed green. Sky of blue, sea of green at our stadium. And yep. Probs everywhere for sure, but drugs are just something I’ve always hated. Watching good ppl turn to fukn low lifes is sickening.
We both got a few good digs in there, always nice having a squabble with someone almost as smart as me in yourself.
Now run along to your tan, and unroll those 5 dollar bills.
Cheers JJ ;)

Imo pretty crappy card anyways :[
Probably would have passed on seeing tito chuck, only reason to go would have been crocop for me.
That's true
It was also a bit annoying to see all the big fights go either right before or right after the vancouver card.
Although this is probably the reason why if there was a big chance the card would not go through.
Wow. What a fucking Monday.
