It makes sense from a business aspectt for SF....
Because if Fedor doesn’t reach terms on his negotiations, he could just up and leave. They do not want to risk having him win the title, only to then turn around and leave the organization.

I thought Fedor signed for 3 fights?
And now they are re-negotiating after 1 fight??? Sounds like SF has some real geniuses making their business decisions. Yeah, it makes total business sense to have a guy who hasn’t defended in almost 3 years fight a guy who just lost for their title. What a joke.
He did, but it was a non-exclusive contract.
There would be nothing stopping Fedor from winning the title then heading off to fight for other organizations for 2 years (al a Overeem) without defending the title. I think they are just trying to avoid repeating their last mistake.

i have to agree
xkl had a sweet poster for the even over this past weeking in michigan but it didnt change the fact that the event was complete amatuer hour, not to mention monson didnt show, cory hill got submitted by some can and ricco rodriguez looked like complete ass….. but the poster i ripped off the wall on the way out looks pretty sweet….

if Overeem didn’t make this card either. If I remember correctly he is supposed to be fighting K-1 in April, I think.

2 great cards from Strikeforce i hope they don’t go under as there getting a good collection of fighters now.
I was a fool to think Bisping had any chance against the Axe Murderer, and even more foolish to bet agaisnt the great Puck Head.
The other card is much better as far as talent goes
This card will be OK but really pisses me off the HW belt will not be on the line? Pretty shady business SF is running with their HW champion not having to defend his title?!

Heavy Artllery
is a fair name for the main card. Lets Hope Overeem wins AND pisses clean. That way he is once again a legitimate HW and Champion. Then if Fedor ducks the Werdum fight at least we have a title match up for Fedor. Cant Duck That.

He will get good exposure to the North American market, decent payday (i wouldn’t say compareable to DREM/K-1) and get the hype train behind him with a win for the Overeem/Fedor mega fight. Weather it be DREAM or Strikeforce.

rogers vs overeem
how is it that rogers gets beat by fedor, in fedor’s first strikeforce match and now rogers is looking at the title shot, shouldn’t it be fedor vs overeem, honestly fedor is goin to stick around for at least a few more matches because you can bet that arlovski wants another shot at fedor, it dosent look like he is gonna head over to the ufc any time soon, though that would give him a much better selection of fighters to square off against, lesnar, carwin, valesquez, and maybe even jones
