after seeing this i pray to god that Vera retires the kid.
Jones and his fat ass butter boy screaming should be stomped on.
there's still something so unifying about sport in it's purest form, when athletes rise above themselves and touch greatness and in doing so remind us all that we also have greatness inside of us.

The problem with Vera is ...
he looks like a world beater against guys he’s clearly better than. But against decent opposition who fights back – he sits there and does nothing. No offense or very choppy. Same thing with Gonzaga. But with him he instead gasses and crumbles apart. I think Jon runs him over and every hater mainly RoBerto will be on that nutsack but wait – we’ll all be there to kick you right off.

Good one, Branden Vera doesnt have the ability to retire anyone, he has proven that over and over again. Thats why most people dont like him, he is a stanup guy that is boring and way over rated. He is one of very few standup fighters that cant be exciting, which to me is all wrong. I will say it again “Brandon Vera has some serious dirt on Dana White”, he has to there is no way this guy can still be in the UFC without something going on behind the scenes.

all the vera haters out there please explain to me why its warranted??
i understand that a lot of it may be rooted from his comment he made years ago about holding both the hw and lhw belt…but what fighter hasnt made arrogant statements? poker players on espn talk more shit during a poker game to psyche each other out than vera has ever talked….hes a fucking fighter….
hes only been stopped one time in the ufc and it was an early stoppage which took place with under 10 seconds to go in the round….some people say hes a boring fighter…that bullshit, every fight he had as a hw was exciting, he was one of the most exciting hws at the time and he was smaller than every one of his opponents….he went to a decision with timmy with a broken hand and was outweighed by 50 pounds…
his fight with jardine was exciting, they both went balls to the wall, jardine won the decision…
hes 9-4 in the ufc and wec combined….
7 of those wins were by tko or submission…
2 of his 4 losses were against a former hw champion and a former hw and light hw champion…
and another one of his losses was to jardine who 2 fights before had just beaten the greatest ufc lhw champ of all time….and was comin off a loss to the greatest pride lhw of all time….even though jardine sucks now, at that time he was still a top contender
oh and he also massacred a guy by the name of frank mir in 60 seconds…u dont consider that exciting? oh and btw, before you blame that on mir’s wreck, it was mir’s 3rd fight back from his wreck and mir was coming off of a win…so dont blame that on mir’s inactivity…cause when they fought mir had been active again…
so please explain to me the hatred on this site for vera

yea definantly ironic coming from me i guess, but i always tend to like the fighters everyone hates
my fav fighters are:
top 3 in order
1. brock – either loved or hated
2. rashad – hated
3. koscheck – mostly hated (although i think hes earned a lot of respect and isnt as hated as he used to be)
a few of the rest in no order
rich franklin – mostly respected
tito ortiz – hated
vera – hated
jds – loved
cain – loved
bisping – hated
but yea most of the fighters i like are hated…im not gonna bother making my most hated list cause its pretty long….

yea man i had it on and couldnt believe what i was seeing...they lead the ENTIRE game
were even up 12 at one time…the only time kansas looked good was the last few mins of the game, i was like….oh well, there goes the upset….they got within one and then northern iowa got the ball back with 30 seconds left and they were up by one and could have run the clock down to 6 seconds and then took a shot…but they ran right down the point and shot a 3 and i was like “wtf are u doin? if you miss then kansas has the ball back with 30 seconds left and can kill the clock then shoot for the win” but dude made the 3 and kept it for the win…
it was fucking crazy
