Jones and Vera

are ready for a SCRAP!

I disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it

by PHISH NATION on Mar 20, 2010 6:20 PM EDT up reply actions

It would be nice if this fight lives up to the hype

as long is it doesnt go to a decision I will be happy. I could care less who wins I just want to see a tko/ko or sub finish

But I will say if vera losses this fight he should be forever restricted from ever doing pre-fight interviews promising how he is ganna do this and that and how he is ganna hold 2 belts simuntaneously

by dia mette on Mar 20, 2010 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions

just got done watching the WI

and once again vera making promises his ass cant keep time will tell if he was right

loyd irvin needs to put duck tape over his mouth

by dia mette on Mar 20, 2010 8:49 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree with you..

I am so tired of hearing Vera make all these big fight promises and then never go in for the finish in a fight. He has not let it all hangout since he had his first few fights in the UFC. What sucks is he has an amazing set of tools. Great stand up, good ground game, but just seems to afraid to do anything outside of his comfort level, which seems to be the safe win lately! The safe wins are not going his way either, everyone he fights keeps getting the Decisions. I want Jones to win, I see him as the future, but if he should lose I hope it is while bringing out the best that Vera has to offer and not some BS decision!

I like Gonzaga by sub as well. He scares me a bit though because he likes to stand and bang. IF he does what he is good at, there is no way JDS can keep up with him on the ground. GG is a wiz on the ground and has made quick work of peoples guard when he keeps it there. If he chooses to stand and bang, it will be exciting but I don’t see him winning.

i got

vera by guiotine choke rd 2
gonzaga by keylock or Abar rd 1
irvin ko rd 1
kongo by tko knees to that soft ass belly rd 2

I like your Irvin and Kongo perdictions...

GG makes me nervous that it might happen but the Vera one is straight up wrong. Guillotines are hard to hit on Greco wrestlers or people with very good TDs who mainly do it from clinch situations. Just my opinion thougbh.

never thought of it that way makes sense though

thats the only sub i have ever seen vera pull so i figured he might get lucky and hit it again

so who do u got in the co & mainevent

Kongo will ko him in the first round. Anyone see Rashad picking Buenatello on MMA Live? he said he has 10 times the hand skill Mir has.

I was a fool to think Bisping had any chance against the Axe Murderer, and even more foolish to bet agaisnt the great Puck Head.

by Tonyuk on Mar 20, 2010 10:09 AM EDT reply actions

Yeah thats ridiculous

Mir would absolutely tool buentello in every area.

yeah Rashad's such a tool

I can’t even listen to his explanations, he’s that retarded

nah shad is actually pretty good on mma live

but thinking kongo has 10 times the hands that mir has is ridiculous

my dream fight would have to be Brock Lesnar vs Jake Shields...and before the fight theres a video of jake slapping brock's wife...then id like to see shields try to gay porn a win over brock using his butt sex merry-go-round tactics...the massacre that would take place would be the greatest thing ever televised...every limb jake has would look like corey hill's leg...god i hate jake shields

TonyUK!

Did you lose a bet to Puckhead and get stuck with that signature? If so how long do you have to leve that up? That is a great idea for betting on here!

agreed by far

I’m not really feelin the Sunday event although free is good…

Fedor invented a language that incorporates Sambo and Kimuras.

So next time FEDOR is kicking your ass, don't be offended or hurt, he may be just trying to tell you he likes your hat.

You will be on the edge of your seat Mac. So will I. It’s one of the great fights of 2010.

How are you not feeling this event Mac?

We get to see young talent in action and the return of Sandman. Also, we might see the end of Kongo in the UFC. This is some good action brotha!

Irvin looks superthin...

His face is all drawn in like Skeletor! I hope he didn’t deprive himself to much to make weight. I like Irvin, he just looked really starved at the weigh ins…

i think Jones' pace will overwhelm Vera......

i don’t see this fight going well for Vera unless he iz able to get the KO…….

by DrGoodspd on Mar 20, 2010 11:01 AM EDT reply actions

nah i dont think he'll overwhelm vera, vera has gotten comfortable at the weight

i dont see him gassing…i really cant wait for this fight….i like jones…and i like vera…this is gonna be a great fight…fireworks all over it…..vera i think has the stand up advantage.. this will be the biggest stand up test that bones has faced and with vera having the greco roman background jones isnt just gonna be able to throw him around like a ragdoll the way he did to bonner…

im picking vera to win..but jones winning wouldnt surpise me, and even though vera is one of my fav fighters i wouldnt be too upset….jones is a future superstar….and a win in his first major headlining event would be HUGE for him…

my dream fight would have to be Brock Lesnar vs Jake Shields...and before the fight theres a video of jake slapping brock's wife...then id like to see shields try to gay porn a win over brock using his butt sex merry-go-round tactics...the massacre that would take place would be the greatest thing ever televised...every limb jake has would look like corey hill's leg...god i hate jake shields

Are you KIDDING me?!!!

This is going to be a sick event bookended at the end of the week by probably the best PPV card the UFC has ever put together with UFC 111.

I can’t even call the main event. Im leaning towards Jones but Vera seems poised to finally breakout like he needs to. I just want to see a sick fight here.
Gonzaga by TKO, 2nd rd
