This is a helluva card
And the tickets are gonna be cheap as hell (as usual). Wish I was back in that area…I’d definitely go.
I enjoy watching Mousassi fight
and I know he will destroy King Mo, but that smirk of his kind of pisses me off. i hope Hendo beheads him.

ANYONE ON MANIA GOING TO THIS???
I’m 6 hours away, but not sure if I want to make the trip. Also I have no friends here that watch it…. hence I wouldn’t go alone.
if I win another poker tournament this week
buy my wife the gmc terrain she wants, find a baby sitter and get a vacation approved…I’ll be there then Bow!
I'm gonna go MBOW
If you or Kev or anyone else makes it or think you might hit me up.

Finally some real challenges for these belts good job SF
"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth - Mike Tyson
Hendo is happy and has much better opportunity at getting two belts in SF than he does getting one in the UFC
At his age I’m happy for him and I think it was best. I would of loved to see him get a shot at silva but realistically the result would of been the same regardless one of the few things Dana did that pisses me off was what he did to Dan by promising him or Bisping a shot then changing his mind. Anyway I’ll be cheering for the old man Dan.
"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth - Mike Tyson
lol Well...
He already tried that in the UFC and failed both times. I think he could pull it off in SF but it wouldn’t mean nearly as much as most of you know.
Fedor played Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun and won... but still avoids the UFC!
You also mocked SF above for taking "UFC washouts"
So are you implying that Hendo couldn’t cut it in the UFC, so he had to go to SF? Yet, the UFC has signed such world-beaters recently as Phil Baroni and Frank Trigg. See, that little “SF just has UFC rejects” bit doesn’t work when you look at a card with Mousasi, Lawal, Melendez, Shields, Aoki, and Hendo. All of those guys are head and shoulders above some of the UFC’s recent signings. Obviously the UFC is the number 1 org., but that’s no reason to hate on SF.
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Dr. Johnson
Those 5 guys you just named, are 5 of the 10 guys they have.
They can’t keep using the same 10 guys on every card. The interest won’t last long.

you act like you guys vare about every fighter in ever weight class in the ufc
you don’t. and if you did, then take some of your time to like the lesser guys in SF. names aren’t just made because you guys feel the league needs them. they are built and they are working on it. 12 months ago they didn’t have near what they do now. doesn’t happen over night.

I have no idea what you are saying. I'm not trying to be a dick, seriously. One or both of us is way too high right now.
Just because I don’t care about Chael Sonnen, Clay Guida, Diego Sanchez, Keith Jardine and the like doesn’t mean they wouldn’t whoop the asses of most of SF’s roster. I may not like most of the fighters in the UFC, but I would bet for most of them against almost all of SF’s guys. That is why I don’t like SF for the most part(I do like watching their fights but I am against their existence). They have a lot of crappy fighters and a few of the best fighters. If all other organizations would cease to exist we could see the fights we need to see.

I know what you're saying jay...
I’m just pointing out that the “UFC washout” thing is garbage. You can’t call fighters like Hendo UFC washouts, as if they couldn’t cut it in the UFC, when they’re much better than the UFC’s recent pick-ups. The 1 org. thing is good in principal, we would all love to see Fedor-Brock, Mousasi-Machida, and some of those matchups, but it just isn’t feasible. The UFC doesn’t have room for all of the fighters that are out there. You need smaller orgs. to develop talent and put on good shows. There are tons of MMA fighters out there and only are very small percentage make it to the UFC. These guys need a place to grow. Shows like SF, that are major promotions, give fighters more options. I think it’s cool that Hendo could give Dana the finger after he pulled the title fight from him. Without SF, he would have just had to take it. I understand the sentiment and the idea of what you’re saying, I just don’t think it’s ever going to be a realistic possibility.
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Dr. Johnson
I agree, the UFC washout line is unwarranted and retarded at best.
But the average skill level of a UFC fighter is much higher than the average SF fighter, not that it matters. I know having one organization only will never work, but a man can dream right??

"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Dr. Johnson
1st of all
king mo sucks & as far as hendo goes he had 2 title shots and couldn’t get the job done 2 bad beating bisping doesn’t get u anywhere.
by titonash23 on Mar 2, 2010 10:13 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
On what basis are you making your assesment that King Mo sucks?
I don’t think there’s any shame in losing to Silva and Rampage. Especially considering he’s put on the best showing of anyone in the UFC against Silva, and took Rampage the distance. He was told with that win he would get a title shot. Then that was reneged so he left. Beating Bisping SHOULD have gotten him somewhere, but it didn’t.
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Dr. Johnson
Nothing? Can't back yourself up?
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Dr. Johnson
r u kidding me
1st of all i dont think beating the most overated, overhyped fighter n ufc history should get u a title shot….but i do agree that vitor should not have gotten 1 over dan bcause vitor never fought at 185 n the ufc….& dan already beat vitor.
by titonash23 on Mar 3, 2010 1:27 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
So you're saying your argument holds no weight. Thanks for removing all doubt
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Dr. Johnson
it does hold weight
I wasn’t sayin that dan deserved 1 i was sayin that vitor didn’t deserve 1…..even considering the fact that vitor beat a better opponent. still it was not at 185….again do i have 2 keep reminding u that dan beat the hype machine known as bisping.
by titonash23 on Mar 3, 2010 6:08 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Do I have to remind you that I don't decide who does and who doesn't get title shots?
And that the man who does told Hendo he would get one with that win? That’s the issue, whether or not you think he deserved a shot is irrelevant.
"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Dr. Johnson
Do i have 2 remind u
that after his fight with the hype machine that dan’s contract with the ufc exspired…..tell me how he could have got a title shot if he’s not under contract at that point dana had 2 find someone 2 face silva bcause dan wanted more money than he deserved & would not agree 2 terms…..and he wanted all of this based on the fact that he ko’d micheal the hype machine bisping.
by titonash23 on Mar 3, 2010 8:23 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
If Dana had given Dan the title shot instead of Vitor...
We’d be seeing Dan versus Anderson Silva instead of Damien Mia versus A. Silva.
I really want to go to this
Im sure the tickets will net be much at all too. April is a pretty busy month for me though. I might get a ticket just in case.

Exciting card
There are some damn exciting fights here, common lightning quick striker mousasi vs the thug king mo will be guaranteed fireworks. And anytime we get to see hendo in the cage is a treat, a true legend not the so called legend, uhmm did you say sham"rock".
And a third title fight el niño and aoki, cool put Gil against some world class competition.
3 title fights that should be competitive, unlike what ufc has in stored; Penn will steamroll Edgar, gsp by brutal beatdown of hardy, and chael will get ko’ed quick ok. I do like finishes, but I like competitive fights better.
by Dball on Mar 2, 2010 5:42 PM EST via mobile reply actions
The GSP card has another two great fights as well
Mir vs Carwin, and Fitch vs Alves!!! That card is going to be insane!! Great few months of action oh yeah and the versus Bones against Vera and JDS vs GG. The Penn card in Dubia followed by Rua and Machida with these SF cards there is some great jam packed MMA action.
"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth - Mike Tyson
I agree that the UFC
spreads out their cards too much. I wish they were more stacked but they do put on great PPVs still. SF does a card like once every 3 months while UFC has done as many as 2 in 1 month plus a fight night. It’s a double edge sword.

Because I think the opposite is true. Also Mousasi isn’t ready for Silva, no one is.

by Phenomenal Angel on Mar 2, 2010 9:11 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
lol of course i don't know for a fact. i was simply aaying that not all the ufc champs would kill the sf ones
I think its early for Gegard, yes, but I’d rather put money on him then Maia vs spidey. And i think he’d have a decent chance against Dragon or any other LHW as well. He isn’t a guarantee but I do see him as a top 3 if he were in the UFC. Machida, Mousassi, and Shogun could win or lose against each other on any given day i believe.
worbanizer
I'll tell you one thing. I would suck off a row of transvestites to see that fight (Mousasi/Spider) instead of Maia/Spider.
I think very, very highly of Mousasi(see profile) but I want him in the UFC, and it’s going to happen soon.

Even if it goes to the ground I don't see Maia subbing Silva.
Maia had 3 rounds of problems trying to sub Jason MacDonald(not bad at jits), and Silva is a lot better than Mac IMO.

I agree it's a BS fight
I think that after Vitor got pulled they should have given Andy someone at 205, Randy would have been a good one. I think that was suggested… 205 I mean, not Randy, but Soares squashed the idea. of everyone at 205 that I want Andy to fight…(Lyoto and Shogun aside) I think Rampage would give him problems, but then historically Rampage’s kryptonite is the Thai clinch, and Andy is scary in the clinch.

SF is good
but lets b honest here most the SF roster is UFC rejects & if u put their champs against the ufc champs theyed get murdered…i mean level of compatition& the fact that bobby southworth was their LH champ a guy who didn’t even win tuf.
by titonash23 on Mar 2, 2010 9:12 PM EST via mobile reply actions
Rejects?
Hendo was the #1 contentender before he left, he’d smoke UFC’s current #1 Maia. Even ufc nutthuggers know fedor is for real, not some reject. Can he beat brock? Either way that would one of the biggest cards in history,
bigger than Cain, Carwin, and Mir combined. Moussai chances are better than any competition the ufc has put up against the spider in years. I do agree that bj will murder
Gil, and gsp would school anybody SF would
put out there, but who does ufc have to hallenge their own lw,& ww champs? Nobody.
by Dball on Mar 3, 2010 1:16 AM EST via mobile up reply actions
I get what your sayin
but take fedor out of the mix who else does SF have who can even challenge any of the other ufc HWs & they do have ufc rejects what do u call robbie lawler & scott smith & bobalu……and other than gegard their LH div is pathetic & the fact that bfore gegard bobby southworth & bobalu were their LH champs is proof of that.
