Ever wonder how a 1990's Dan "The Beast" Severn would do in a slugfest against Junior dos Santos? Could a prime Royce Gracie submit Anderson Silva? How would today's up-and-coming lightweights do against a young Jens Pulver?
Well, now you can find out with UFC Undisputed 2010, which offers all three mixed martial arts legends as playable characters in the upcoming video game from THQ. Sorry to all the Microsoft sympathizers, but this one is for Playstation 3 only.
On the heels of their wildly successful entry in the the mixed martial arts and video game community with UFC Undisputed 2009, THQ went back into the lab to tinker around with some of the mechanics that caused a portion of gamers to say "If only I could..." when talking about a sequel.
In fact, after selling 3.5 million copies of Undisputed since it's release in 2009, THQ has been hard at work to reward gamers with an ever more realistic and fluid experience for their 2010 entry, set to hit retail shelves on May 25.
Bigger, better, badder -- which could explain the inclusion of UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar on this year's cover. But they didn't just stop at the addition of UFC legends.

THQ has apparently upped the ante in this new version in response to the pending debut of Electronic Arts "EA Sports MMA" featuring a roster of mostly Strikeforce fighters (with a few exceptions).
Competition breeds excellence and with two major publishers vying for a very specific market, the fans choice for their digitized butt-kicking could depend on just the slightest of variables.
Let's hear it Maniacs, do these improvements satisfy your gripes with the 2009 version? And will you be motivated to buy UFC Undisputed 2010?

Guys – I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a Blu Ray player, so natch I was weighing the PS3… I don’t really game much but I would prop buy the UFC game along with others if I had the hardware.

I have a PS3 but have never played any blu rays however, I assume the video games are blu rays themselves, yes? Also, I would recommend the PS3 because it gives you another device to access the greatest website of all websites…. mmamania.com!

I’ve had a PS3 for over a year now, never had any problems with games or movies or anything. If I HAD to make a complaint, it’d be the online games lose connection a bit (esp MAG), but the online play for Playstation is free, so its not really that big of a complaint. I’d reccommend it, and with as much as the 360s have failed and the whole “Red Ring of Death” thing, I’m suprised people still replace their broke 360s with new 360s.

The Blue ray is good
1. The PS3 is constantly updating uts softwhere so unlike buying a dead technology like just a blue ray player this will always be up to date.
2. The Playstating network is free and you can download movies right from the PSN for like 3 bucks and when you are at home and have been drinking and maybe you want to watch a movie or an episode of your favorite TV show, you can do that with the PS3!!! I love it!

I use multiple PS3’s.. One in each room of the house. Not just for the blue ray but for the media sync networking..
I can DL any movie, music, photo, game, etc.. And then use the PS3 as a media server to watch them or play them off my computer through the PS3 (without DL’ing the actual files onto the PS3’s hard drive ..
Not to mention the games are in Blue Ray.. I’ve been on the Bad Company 2 kick and it’s great on a nice 70" LCD LED.. I see everything in the game clear as day…

I hardly every play games on my PS3, I usually just watch movies but when the urge hits me to play a game, it is nice having the option and as someone already stated, with new updates always coming out, the PS3 is always up to date.

PS3 is the best blu ray player on the market. It’s the only one that is 3-D ready at this point. It’s also the best value between the 3 systems. If you get a blu-ray player that has wi-fi and netflix streaming you’re going to have to pay around $300 anyway.
And for the record, I work at Best Buy, so please support the company I work for.

Mass Effect is 360 exclusive so I'm always choosing it over PS3
I’ve had 2 RRODs but got the console replaced for free both times. Both consoles are very similar and I’m more bothered about the 360 exclusive games and content than the dearer PS3 though I am gutted that I missed out on Heavy Rain.

I must be the biggest loser. I have both the PS3 and the 360 and I never play video games. I bought the 360 thinking I would play it but now I only use it to watch Netflix moves and maybe play a game once every couple of months. Then I bought the PS3 because I wanted a Blu-Ray player and figured the PS3 would be a good buy because it could do more, if I ever wanted to.

I happen to own both consoles and I must admit that the online gameplay is so much better on the 360, not to mention the level of competition. There’s rarely any lag and being abruptly disconnected from the game is at a minimal. However, I cannot stand the immaturity level not to mention the bigotry that exists! There’s always some prepubescent 12 year old blurting out homophobic and racial slurs or the staggering amount of quitters which ruins the experience! Not to mention the infamous “ring of death” is absolutely ridiculous! My friends and I have collectively been through a total of 13 Xbox 360s to date! The Blu Ray player for the PS3 is simply awesome! I just picked up Planet Earth and the clarity of it is simply astounding.

It’s a fault for 360s, they breakdown when they get overheated and show 4 red rings before they stop working for good. As long as your console is insured you should be able to get it fixed for free.

Yep I got mine done twice they sent me a new one to replace my last
But I’m honestly considering trading to PS3, blu ray movies are starting to come down in price, the graphics are a little better on most games, there is no online gold member charge and of the peaple I know that own one have had little problems besides the lack of head set use.

ps3 is better. xbox breaks. ps3 has free internet. i have had no problems online ever since i bought my ps3 way back when. ive played ufc and madden on the xbox as well and just wasnt satisfied with the gameplay or level of competition. plus the rapper the game plays ps3. how i know? cause ive played him and he beat my ass lol. he is retardedly good at madden and nba live. and what makes the ps3 besides having a blue ray already in it is that ps3 is getting these three characters plus the 5 extra fights. whats xbox getting? nothing

Remember being blown away by SF2 on the snes way back (I know it sucks to play it now, an era thing). No beat em up has enticed me since then, perhaps Tekken. Bought the UFC game last year on xbox, and wasn’t that impressed, hope this offers more. Maybe my expectations of life-changing gameplay are too high. I want reality!!!
