Programming reminder: UFC Primetime 'St. Pierre vs Hardy' tonight (March 17) on Spike TV

Spike TV is back with Episode 2 of "UFC Primetime" TONIGHT (March 17) at 10:00 pm ET, bringing you another 30 minutes of hype from the promotion's three-part series featuring an in-depth look at the upcoming UFC 111 welterweight title fight between current champion Georges St. Pierre (19-2) and number one contender Dan Hardy (23-6).
The UFC scored a ratings bonanza for its premiere episode of "Primetime." According to the cable television network, the debut episode aired on March 10 at 10:00 pm ET on Spike TV and recorded a record-high one million viewers for a 1.1 rating overall.
In comparison, last year's "Primetime" special, constructed around the colossal UFC 94 welterweight title fight between St. Pierre and BJ Penn landed 880,000 viewers for a .73 rating.
Episode three of "St. Pierre vs. Hardy" will air on March 24.

Hardy is going to learn the art of the ground game the hard way. On the ground Hardy will do no better than any of GSP’s latest victoms, hell I think Hardy would have trouble with Hughes little alone GSP.

I have 2 bunny hugs, his flag, 4 shirts, and my screensaver on my comp and blackberry. I recorded his under armor commercial and I have a set list for his fight nights.
Before the televised ppv I play his rap song that, that french dude made on youtube hooked up to my lcd (my bigscreen is my monitor), and some highlights, on my 7.1 surround, then when the card starts its 1/2 volume & all lights on, as we all get drunker and it hits the co main we down to 1/2 lights. No lights and full volume and everyone shuts the fuck up while the king is coming out. Then lights back on but volume stays at a deafening tone.

Watching Hardy's fights
I notice one thing that’s interesting…he always has his head up and always has his eyes open when striking and defending. There are so many brawlers that put their head down and throw with all their might and have their eyes closed a lot of the time. You can see this when Serra threw his punch heard around the world. You can see it in every Leben fight. You can see it when Hendo KOed Bisping. Hardy is a smart and powerful striker and that’s a very dangerous combination. He’s got great accuracy cause he watches his opponent at all times.
Having said that…GSP is still better than him in every aspect of the game. I just think that’s something interesting about someone that most people call a brawler. Hardy is a patient striker and very technical…something that has to be respected.

Only thing that Dans striking lacks is the killer instinct needed to finish off hurt opponents.
I’m convinced that GSP will outwrestle Dan to win this one, striking with Hardy is too risky.

Is it just me or is Can Hardy not exactly the stand up god everyone, especially himself, seems to think he is?? Hardy and that midget who trains him go on and on about how his objective his to put fist to face as much as possible, and when he puts his hands on GSP’s chin he will fall down/go to sleep etc. blah blah blah….. NEWSFLASH, you have one KO in the UFC, and that might as well have been against willy the stage hand, and your previous career in the UK donkey fighting league is not exactly peppered with incredible KO performances. Can Hardy is not the KO wrecking ball he claims to be, and he’s barely finished a fight in the UFC. Thiago Alves is the biggest KO wrecking ball in the division and he actually has tdd to go with it……we all know what happened there. In fact if you were gonna make a case for this fight based on Can Hardy’s hands it shouldn’t even be him in there, it should be his chum Semtex, who actually finishes fights and puts people to sleep, as opposed to just talking about it.
Just because a guy with a douchehawk says it, doesn’t make it so!

Gotta disagree mate. Markham wasn’t even a top ten WW and it’s questionable if Swick was. I think Hardy has a ton of talent, but IMO he’s just gonna be overmatched.

Anyway, GSP should finish this fight before the championship rounds. He always performs better against shit talkers ie (Penn, Trigg, Serra 2nd fight)
GSP has him beat pretty much everywhere. Dan may have slightly more power in his punches, but everything else is pretty much all St. Pierre.
I look forward to watching Hardy get raped. I’ll be at the weigh ins and hopefully I can heckle Dana for free tickets to see it go down live. :)
