Vera is overrated and will get brutalized by Jones.
It will look like Cain vs Nog, the new supertalent will finish the vet in the first round.

I agree that Jones will out class Vera
I see Vera coming out very aggressive and trying to over whelm Bones, then Bones will pull a really slick takedown and pound the shit out of Brandon. that’s how I see things going anyway.

It's not gonna be as one sided as everybody says...
Vera has only ever lost once by (T)KO. He’s never been submitted either. He’s a very VERY high level Thai Boxer, and a very composed fighter. Jones is great, wild and unorthodox with great reach. But no way will he out muscle Vera, who’s dominated at heavyweight before.
Pretty sure Bones will win, but it won’t be one sided, we’re gonna see him pushed.

Everybody says that about up and comers
Vera has done this and that etc. Bones hasn’t done it yet because he hasn’t been there yet. Every fight he takes people said Hammill had more strength, wrestling had only ever been finished once etc…and Jones wouldn’t deal with him. Jones threw him around like nothing and beat the shit out of him.
I appreciate that Vera is more experienced, but the fact is, like we learned from Cain and Nog, if the other guy is just better than you, experience doesn’t count for shit. Vera might pull it out of the bag and catch him with one of those really powerful kicks, or bust up his legs over the fight, but I’m siding heavily with Jones.
How was training after I left? saw you getting ready for 200 alternating kicks…

Yeah Jones will win...
But Vera isn’t nearly so battered and war-weary as big nog lol.
Yeah, blasted through the kicks, thats sort of like the fighters class ritual lol, to start the class. Then i had to do double all the stuff everyone else was doin cause of odd numbers and I was stuck with Coach lol. It’s all good and i feel great, just gettin ready for thailand now baby!

I posted this elsewhere but…
Jones/Vera- I’m hoping Vera can pull this out. I think he’s taking things very seriously and he knows how bad he needs this win. However I don’t think he has any answers for Bones. They are pretty evenly matched- good strikers with wrestling backgrounds so what will be the deciding factor? Aggression. I don’t see Jones being afraid of Vera. He’ll come in as calm and nonchalant as usual. So he’ll be the dictating the pace. Can Vera head kick him onto queer street? Sure, but it’s more likely that Jones’ antics will make him tentative and he won’t be able to pull the trigger again. I hope not but…

There's no storm-weathering here. Vera is the most technical striker Bones has ever faced...

Putting a card like this on Sunday on Versus is a big mistake IMO.
You have 2 of the youngest and biggest upcoming talents in the UFC and nobody is going to see them fight.

Hope we see the best Vera
Guy has got big talent but don’t think his mental toughness is a strong as his mouth (talking up fights). Huge fight for Vera though. Like to see somebody actually challenge Jones. Can’t wait!
Vera is a big step for Jones
He’s the best kickboxer AND the best Greco guy that Bones has fought. I’d like to think Vera’s Greco is good enough to neutralize Bones’ judo, but man, Bones is just phenomenally slick with those trips and throws. I think his striking is a bit over-rated because he’s so wild and exciting. But he had his hands full with Bonnar and Brandon is a much better kickboxer than Bonnar. I’d be very surprised if Jones can finish him.
