Is it just me or is this event a little tougher to predict. With separation starting to become evident, its important to stay close to the leaders. Like it says in Holland's sig, "its not enough to succeed, others must fail." Or something like that. That said, there will be NO CUT following this event. Lets ride this roster out for the month of Feb and March.
Tr8k and Kandian have been tearing it up and will be hard for the rest of us to catch. They've built quite a lead over some of us going 15/18 and 14/18 respectively. Nice work fellas!!!
I've been pretty excited for this card as both a HUGE CC and Stevenson fan. I wonder though, what this type of travelling will have on the fighters. Aussi's included, as most train in the states anyways. There are many questions surrounding this event. Has NOG's "experience" finally caught up with him? Can Jardine knock off the up and comer Bader? Will training at Jackson's continue to raise the level of Joe Daddy's game? Does CC have one final high kick left in him? And can Wandy return to his glory days, pleasing 99% of us Maniacs in the process? Time will tell.
This will also serve as the last event for a month...but don't worry. March 21st will mark the first of 3 events within a ten day period. Sounds crazy cause that is crazy!!!!

Rothwell is mediocre. CC lost to a young tiger in DS and a strong striker in Kongo. Rothwell is Al Turk quality. I agree with you about Wand.

Rothwell’s striking isn’t up to par compared to CC. So i expect a UD for Mirko but i won’t be surprised if he can land a HK on him.

CC needs to have a weapon he can reley on after faking the high kick
Body kicks or liver shots would work when the hands get raised to block the high kick…guys are expecting the high kick and train to defend it…his last few fights though (especially the JDS fight) CC is afraid to get in close

Guys with good hands have the option to close in on him.
That or good clinch games. So instead of being afraid, i think it’s more afraid of letting certain types of fighters close in. JDS as a boxer simply needed to box him in and Cheick only needed to work the knees in the clinch and counter with lefts because that’s the way CC always exits after big strikes.
Rothwell aside from size and that midwestern grit/grinder style doesn’t have any stylistic strenghts in the clinch or close range. Try to stall against the fence maybe.

I don’t blame you mac. I don’t know how you are keeping track of this shit, but the undercards pool takes me an hour to flip back and forth to figure out the points. You have 10 times as many people to worry about too. Is there any way to delete the picks of guys not in the pool? Or do you have to work around them?

I work around them...its easier now though... now I have a template with 92 names including 5 spots to write pics down...when they make their picks, I record them. Adding them up at the end takes the longest
The hardest part was before the cut when I had to keep all joiners straight without forgetting anyone….March will be hell though for both of us…March 21, March 27, and March 31st all have UFC events…I haven’t figured out the most efficient way of doing those yet

Getting tuff now isn’t it, hate picking against some of my favourite fighters but am gonna have to go with my head not heart. Though I do get overly nervous for my favourites and it sometime clouds my judgement and my head tells me to pick against them out of fear. Does anyone else do this or am I just weird? This card sucks.............in terms of picking winners
This one’s a lot tougher than the rest so far I think. Every fight has me leaning slightly to one side
I like a Sotiropoulos upset but I’m already backing the Rothwell upset so trying to play it safe. But this can bite me in the ass
I agree that Cain’s wrestling could ride him to the UD if Nog’s on his back for the majority of the 15. But I wanna pick Nog cause it’s Nog
I kinda feel the same for Bisping’s fight (even though his wrestling isn’t anywhere near Cain’s). If he lands some decent G’n’P he could get a TKO maybe. But Wandy’s gonna KO him in the first cause Bisping’s chin won’t hold up if Wandy gets one decent shot

Fact is though Jardine can’t afford to lose to many fights otherwise he may be let go by the UFC, I’m thinking we will see the best Jardine we have to date. I was 50/50 on this fight and went with Jardine for that reason.
