I think, if this has been posted then I'm a moron and my bad! I just got a phone call and the person told me that starting with UFC 111, they will be broadcasting it live at movie theaters. I personally think it's a gay idea, worse than watching it at a bar, but I get the concept. watch the UFC for 10-15 bucks rather than to have to buy it for 50. anyone else know if my source is correct or not?

I like the idea!

I’d much rather watch it in a quiet cinema where I can hear what’s going on than in a crowded bar full of puking drunks. You guys all complain about Rogan and Goldy’s commentary, but for most of the fights, the only commentary I get is from the ignorant innebriated dipshit sitting at the next table. Comments like:
“Oh Damn that’s a big nig—I mean um—Aferkan….Where’s that blonde bitch with my nachos! Don’t nobody work here?”
“Look at the muscles on him! What you reckon they put in HIS chimichangas? He’s still finna get his refried ass whooped!”
“Don’t just stand there! Bite his f-ing ear off, moron! I gotta go piss!”

first off i tgink its an interesting idea,but i would never do it. i have a hard enough time watching it with friends, and went to bar once. but if ur single and cant afford to buy it, and dont like hooters atmosphere, it may be for u

cozy seat beats a barstool

Plus all the bars/restaurants I know that show it have a 2-hr waiting list for a table/stool. I’ve gotten there at 7:15 and had to stand till the fights were over at Midnight.

Good idea in my opinion

Putting on UFC PPVs at cinemas is the sort of thing that will win the fight with piracy, as those that can’t afford all of the monthly PPVs or don’t have access to them can now go to see the shows for a much cheaper price and in better quality with their mates whilst not having the show affected by loud music or obnoxious drunks like it is at a bar.

Big boxing and wrestling cards were distributed this way in the past and it was really successful, so I’m glad that the UFC are starting this trend. At least they are looking at cheaper alternatives to PPV instead of just trying to keep those that can’t afford PPVs from being able to watch it. Should be interesting to see how many more people watch the fights once this starts.

It is a good idea. I thought the WWF does this already?

Im sure Dana has talked to someone who has had success with this format so if makes money than why not. Ciniplex won’t mind the extra butts in it’s seats.

PLUS – I could pay 9 bucks to see a flick and stay for the UFC – 2 for 1 YEAH!

I would definitley test it out to see if I like it.

I bet against both Paulo Thiago and Mark Coleman:
- THiago impressed the sh1t out of me.

i would do this over the bar if i dont have enough dosh for the ppv

i went to bdubs for ufc 100 and was turned away because it was packed, not a single seat. Not to mention that i would prefer to watch the ppv in more of a movie setting then a party setting. I’ll try it once at least. May get restless without the pot tho..
