Yoshiyuki Yoshida vs. Mike Guymon on tap for UFC 113 preliminary card
A welterweight match-up between Yoshiyuki "Zenko" Yoshida (11-4) and Mike "Joker" Guymon (11-3-1) is being finalized for the preliminary card for UFC 113 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Both fighters have consented to the fight, and the official bout agreement is expected to follow shortly.
Heading into the bout, Yoshida, a decorated judoka-turned-mixed-martial-artist, finds himself in a "do-or-die" situation with a 2-2 record in UFC.
In his most recent fight, he suffered a KO loss to the hulking welterweight, Anthony "Rumble" Johnson at UFC 104. He also fell victim to a highlight-reel knockout by Josh Koscheck at "UFC - Fight for the Troops" in December, 2008. Meanwhile, he holds victories over War Machine and Brandon Wolff during his UFC tenure.
Prior to signing with UFC, Yoshida became the welterweight champion in the Japanese-based Cage Force. There, he defeated Akira Kikuchi and current UFC welterweight title contender, Dan Hardy (via DQ).
Former King of the Cage welterweight champion, Mike "Joker" Guymon, stumbled in his UFC debut in January when he succumbed to the Canadian young gun, Rory MacDonald. A veteran fighter who made his MMA debut in 1999, Guymon seeks to solidify his footing in UFC with a win over Yoshida.

Like Yoshida
But dont know Guymon – but he sounds like a Godzilla character.
I wish Yoshida had more finishing power.
He does have finishing skills on the mat..
His problem is closing the distance for clinch situations. Don’t wanna say anything about his chin just yet either. He should win over Guymon though. Mike, though a tough guy and a crazy backstory, is just your run of the mill veteran whose ability don’t cut it at this level. Will probly go on to fight in many regional cards as a UFC veteran collecting checks.

I will be shocked if Yoshida cant beat the Joker!
I think yoshida can be really good if he fixes the holes in his game….needs to work on defense if you ask me,,,Him and stun gun bring a unique skill set to the WW division, that has been lost since Karo went insane!
this is Jokers fight!
Mike trains harder than anyone i have seen. He had Ronald Mcdonald just didnt follow threw, witch is very unusual for the Joker! He is a mans man and ill bet the bank roll on him any day of the month!! Love you Mike you got this fight hands down! keep your head focused and he’s done! Oh yea God Bless George Bush!! see you soon brother. Zmann
