I think it will stay on the feet, and I just think Jones’ reach will be too much for Vera. I’m hoping it’s not a snooze fest, but I can see a lot of jabs and leg kicks happening for the majority of the fight, because both fighters will respect eachothers striking abilities and keep their distance.

Jones has become one of my favorite fighters

He is one of those guys that no matter who he fights you want to watch just to see what he will do. So many fighters have somewhat homogenous styles….boxing/wrestling, kickboxing/BJJ etc…Jones is one of those guys who has a truly distinct style nobody else has. This is a tough fight for him, I hope he passes with flying colors

This is 1 of the fights that cud go either way!

If it’s stays standing I think Vera is guna take it. If jones can powerbomb Vera o body slam him 2 the ground followed up by sum vicious elbows! Dam I can’t w8 for thi fight! Bones has gud striking but I haven’t seen anykind of ko power from him

this is like the stevenson v sotriopolous fight in a way...

people were saying that joe was just a better version of george.that their bjj would cancel out and that joe would have an advantage on the feet and w experience.well we all know how that turned out.lol.brandon vera has more experience and better stand up.i question his wrestling though.i think jones will get cracked a couple times and take the randy approach of pinning vera up against the cage,and get some takedowns.jones by unanimous decision.u gotta remember even werdum took vera down.

this is silly talk

Let’s be sensible:

Vera is in for a HUGE and long over due ass kicking which Jones will happily oblige.

After that IF Jones walks through 2 more B level fighters or 1 B and 1 A then start the Silva talk. As then we may know if he stands a chance, and he’d have some top fighters on his resume as well.

Til’ then its much to early to say silly comments.
