i wont buy the ppv but im interested in learning the outcome. I would like to see a boxer take the ground game seriously and add something to the striking game.

I think most of the real mma fans realize that...
The level of striking in mma is nowhere near boxing or K1, with very few exceptions. That being said, there are many ignorant boxing fans who feel that boxers would be sucessful in an mma ring, just because of their standup, even though they have zero ground game.

im sick of mma turning into the new "golf" past time
for has been athletes who can no longer contend with the athletes in the sports they were once good in…. I.e. hershall walker, every x football player on TUF, jose canseco, ray mercer, james toney, this fucking guy…
all these retired assholes…these has been nfl players, has been boxers, has been baseball players…these has been pro athletes who are no longer good enough to to be a contender at their original sport say “well i guess i’ll give this mma thing a try”

one thing all these boxers have in common is that they can't compete at the top level anymore.
i would love to see what a boxing champ or current contender with good athletic ability could do in the cage. i bet they would school most mma fighters. there is simply a bigger talent pool to draw from.
does anyone doubt that one of the klitchko’s might kill someone if they landed a clean shot????
i think an athlete like shane mosely or miguel cotto would give any lw problems.

It’s like a trend or something. “I was a (quasi-)notable boxer. Now I’m gonna be a big MMA star.” It’s like they think it’ll be easy because they can box. If they can’t wrestle, they’re doomed.
