UFC Quick Quote: Phillipe Nover feels 'unstoppable' despite recent spells (not seizures)
"I’m not worried about it. In the back of my mind, I think about it, but I’m doing all the things I can to make sure it does not happen again. If you keep thinking about it, it’s going to happen.... Emerson’s a tough guy. He’s fought guys at a high level and goes to a decision with them a lot of times. He has experience over me.... It’s extremely important; this is my life right now.... I’m really excited. 2009 was not a good year for me. Coming off the show, I had that controversial loss [to Kyle Bradley] and wasn’t able to get in the cage with Stout. It was kind of a trifecta of negativity. I’m so focused right now. I feel like I’m unstoppable."
-- "The Next Anderson Silva," Phillipe Nover, tells Sherdog.com that he's ready to live up to the lofty expectations heaped on him while a participant on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) mixed martial arts reality series. Nover has not resembled anything even remotely close to the "Spider," losing to Efrain Escudero in the tournament finals via decision and then dropping a controversial bout to Kyle Bradley shortly thereafter. Then, right before a showdown with Sam Stout late last year, the Filipino fainted, causing athletic commission officials to scratch the lightweight match. Nover insists that he is physically fit and ready for Rob Emerson this weekend at UFC 109: "Relentless." But he admits he does feel the pressure of needing to win ... will it get him once again or will Nover finally get over the hump?

he looks like he is on meth!
so mr. Dana wh6ite…
“the next Anderson Silva” Really? How is that working out for you!
This is a good fight that should be on spike. I would rather see this fight instead of the Melvin fight and the Danzig fight!
i was a huge nover fan
but the guy was overhyped so much, because why? he beat 2 C level fighters on the show who ultimately got cut by the UFC. if you really pay attention, you’ll realize that dana’s comments on fighters and fights are so inaccurate. he honestly sounds like a newbie half the time. all he wants to see is 2 guys standing in the pocket swinging sloppily at each other until one of them falls.
sorry for the off topic rant.
No ands if or buts about it.
If he losses this one he has to get cut.
