Alistair Overeem scheduled to face Sasa Milanovic at Glory 12 in Sarajevo

AWOL Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem continues his overseas exploits as "Demolition Man" will likely face Sasa Milanovic at Glory 12 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 24 according to sarajevo-x.com (via Bloody Elbow).
Glory 12 will be the latest installment of the MMA/K-1 hybrid card hosted by the famed Golden Glory gym, which houses Overeem, Semmy Schilt, Sergei Kharitonov, Gokhan Saki, Errol Zimmerman, Marloes Coenen, among other MMA and K-1 standouts.
There is no word yet on whether Overeem vs. Milanovic will be contested under MMA or K-1 rule.
Regarding the long overdue defense of the Strikeforce heavyweight belt that has been collecting dust since November 2007, he has hinted that it will materialize after the second quarter of 2010.

letting him hang on to the belt for over 2 years without a single defense while he fights for every organization on the planet that he’s NOT the champion of!!! This makes Strikeforce look like a total joke, that their own HW champion will fight for anyone but them.
STRIP THIS JACKASS and send him packing. SF has Fedor, they don’t need this clown! Maybe stripping him of the belt would be enough to motivate him to come and challenge Fedor for it. As it is, he gets to parade around the world wearing it and using it to promote himself in his other fights…why bother defending it if nobody’s gonna make him!

What are they suppose to do? Hold up their entire HW division because Overeem doesnt wanna defend his belt!?! Overeem has fought 4 times since strikeforce signed fedor! And not 1 of those was against a decent fighter.
Bottom line he is the champ and there are a few challengers in strikeforce lining up to fight him while he runs around over seas all hoped up on riods beating up cans!

for everyother promotion makes him a legit champ? Humm lets see if he can hold up the title for 3 years. He won the belt on 11-16-2007! It is now almost 2 and a half years since winning the SF Belt and he has had 7 fights against washed up #1, washed up #2, cans #’d 1-5. He even fought Mr. Exploding ear James Thompson! Lets make fight #8 after this one! Stripping the title is the only thing Coker should be doing now. Overoids championship reign @ SF is as legit as the shit that comes out my ass!

He is staying away from any fight that he may lose or any fight where he may be drug tested. this guy is a joke for his actions since winning the Strikeforce title almost 2.5 years ago.
Strikeforce is also a joke for “letting” Overeem dick around with them.

To be fair Overeem is only fighting cans in MMA. In K1 hes fighting/ beating the best of the best. Him and Hari are 1 and 1.

Hoping to be cut
I think Alistair Overroid want to be cut. He thinks if he is cut that the ufc will offer him more money. If I was strikeforce though, I would not cut him but I would strip him or do an intern champion.

Strikeforce wants to gain some serious street cred – STRIP YOU F’EN “HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP” Sorry for the CAPS but they can not be taken seriously until they actually have a champion who defends their title.
I don’t care if he has taken roids in the past or what not, I will give him the benefit of the doubt but fight someone of worth already. If you don’t want to fight in the US then Scott Coker take his “title” away because we all know he hasn’t earned it.

That is why the UFC wants their guys to be exclusive to them. This is a middle finger to his Strikeforce fans if he has any left. Coker is a joke for keeping his title and not stripping it. Overeem must have dirt on him, probably caught Coker with a tranvestite in some shady motel somewhere. That is the only excuse I can think of.

Who the hell is this guy? Fight Finder doesn’t have anything on him. If Overeem wants to keep fighting cans overseas in MMA or kickboxing matches for easy money let him. Fedor would smoke his ass anyhow. Why anyone cares about anything about what he does anymore is beyond understanding.
