I just cant see what he has for Nog

Where does Cain win this fight? Don’t tell me G&P, only Fedor can dice with Nogs guard for 15 min and get away with it.

That would be true if...

you were talking about a prime Nog and not the Nog that has looked terrible in the UFC= old and slow, with his biggest win over an even older and slower Randy….Nog is a legend but his time is done Im sorry to say….

Na he still has life

I thought Nog looked awsome against Randy. One of the most impressive things that i have seen in the UFC recently was when he swept Randy, who has a hell of a base and he did it with ease.

His hands looked sharp and his cardio was great.

I’m not saying read too much into who he beat but just how he looked. If Cain plays around in his guard for too long he will get either tapped or swept and ground and pounded.

Old Nog is definitely on the decline

He has looked terribly slow since coming to the UFC. He takes way too much damage and really hasn’t performed at the same level as he did in PRIDE. He looked good against Randy, however, and the sweep he performed that somebody mentioned below was indeed impressive. I just dont think he can keep up with the larger, faster heavyweights anymore unless he is really able to leverage his experience (which will probably be the deciding factor against CV).

I strongly beleive Caine wilk beat Nog in an all out war. Will it be easy, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeell no! But he will win in a split decision. Nog will have him in some bad submission situations but Cain will get out of them and win with some GNP and great wrestling. I think Cain will get the better of Nog standing, but not by much. This fight has EPIC written all over it.

I can't see Cain pulling this one off.

The only way Cain can come out of this with a win, if we get an “machida/shogun” type decision.

nahhh

cain will dominate, he is a monster.

by machida shogun you mean............

a close fight that could go either way and when you’re favorite fighter falls short you will cry about the outcome????

The HYPE will soon be over!!!

The cain hype will soon be over as NOG will submit him
cain is a ufc ‘hype machine" for the latino fans , he has beat whom kongo who dropped him everytime he touched him and whom has NO ground skills at all!! and big ben who was getting to his feet when fight was stopped! Now granted ben by no means was winning that fight but who is to say he would not have caught cain and got the ko ?? it is mma and anything can/could have happened.
It’s funny how one minute Nog is the next heavyweight champ in one debate and the next he is getting destroyed by cain!
Cain is a great wrestler with great cardio that being said what else does he have??? his stand up is not great, his chin is suspect and lets be honest about it nog on his back will submit him no question about it

Enlighten me then.....

is it because he is so dominating over top competitors? oh wait that’s right he hasn’t been tested against a top guy unless you consider Kongo a top guy which i don’t

by TheDragon on Feb 11, 2010 1:50 PM EST up reply actions

oh boy...

here we go wtih the hype machine….hype machine or not, a fighter is a fighter and you still have to perform!!! IS Carwin a hype machine for you? Becasue if you think not, look at their resumes and Cain and Carwin are about identical!

What is the UFC to do? Are they not suppsoed to promote up and comers, regardless fo race? Come on man. I mean its the business, a new fighter comes along, wins some fights, looks good and he steps un in competition and thats that!!!

Losing to Nog does not derail a “hype machine” as you so you say; losing to Nog is not anythingto hand your head about. So if Cain loses to Nog, i dont want to hear, see “Cain sucks he is all hype!” Come on now, its a fight and someone has to win and lose, stop the “hype machine” talk cuz at the end of the say you still gotta fight wether your “hyped” “promoted” or whatever!!!

by manalito on Feb 11, 2010 2:27 PM EST up reply actions

well said manalito

I never understood the hype references at cain either. Hes pounded on everyone put in front of him and that makes him hype?

Big Nog

He will do good, but Nog will get the job done.

Hope he goes for the triangle from the bottom.
