Good call on the Franklin fight
Randy can’t compete with the likes of elite strikers like Shogun, Machida, Lil Nog, or even Rashad (to a lesser degree). If he wants to keep fighting, he needs to stick to guys around 10 – 15. Otherwise he will get KO’d.

I think Rashad and Lil’ Nog are the two most interesting fights for him right now. Franklin’s not a bad matchup, I just don’t think it would be as exciting and I think they both stand to lose more than they stand to gain from that fight. I’d like to see Franklin vs Tito.

There are so many interesting match ups for him! I don’t wanna see him fight for the title and lose! It ain’t cool! Just put him against guys who are perfect matches for him! I think Randy has got 2-3 more fights and will retire! But hopefully he’ll retire with a winning stick!
Randy/Franklin as pointed out above needs to be next. Great fight and I’d love to see them square off. Franklin is to the stage now too where he kinda needs to stay away from the top of the top so.

His contract
It was reported awhile ago it was a 6 fight/ 18 month deal, i guess which ever came first. He fought Vera and Coleman….lets say he fights Franklin, wins and fights the loser of Evans/Jackson wins…then he’s without a doubt the number 1 contender. At that point he fights the champ (whoever it is). If he wins he should retire when he losses or losses the title fight and retires.
So if he wins
against Franklin, beats the loser of evans/jackson and faces the champ…thats a fair road

I love how people think Randy’s “losing streak” against the biggest, most powerful UFC champion of all time (Lesnar) and the best HW the UFC has EVER had (Nog), makes him “irrellevant” in a division of smaller, weaker guys, that Brock and Nog would have on a plate with tea and crumpets. Frakkin retards!
You forgot his loss against Vera. Randy was utterly impotent in that fight…deal with it.

seeing Couture vs. Franklin. A fight Franklin may actually finish—or get finished even.
i like his attitude toward it
unlike guys like chael who all they think about is the belt, not their love for competing and having fun. that dude will say anything to get a shot at the belt. you’ll never see randy on his knees begging which is pretty cool.
Chael's never had a belt
Randy’s had about 5 of them and fought more title fights than anyone in MMA history. His legacy is secure. Chael knows if he doesn’t win a belt or at least fight for one, nobody will remember his name.
