Rex Ryan middle finger: Jets coach flips 'Miami' crowd the bird
Props: NY Daily News
Quoteworthy:
"It was stupid and inappropriate. I wouldn't accept that type of behavior from one of the coaches or players, and it's unacceptable from me. I apologize to the Jets' organization, the National Football League and NFL fans everywhere."
New York Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan was present at this past weekend's Strikeforce: "Miami" event and conducted an interview that was televised on Showtime. Ryan's comments were noticeably drowned out by the boos from all of the Miami Dolphins fans, who are one of the Jets' biggest rivals. After the interview, Ryan was caught sending a memo to one of the hecklers in the crowd through an obscene gesture. But I suppose that is what happens now that everyone in the world has a camera on their cell phone. That is simply Rex Ryan being Rex Ryan; a fiery and prideful guy who's never willing to give any ground. He's behind enemy lines on a division rival's soil in Miami "waving" at a rival fan. That's about it.

rex ryan sat next to jay glazier. jay glazer went after some fanboy wanting an autograph. He was trying to beat up some innocent person. that is what should be on here and that arrogant fat prick wanna be tough guy glazer should be shitcanned from his job for acting like a tough guy in front of the nfl players.
Wow. We live in an age of pussies. They booed him and he gave them the finger. Big deal.

i was there, and it was fucking hilarious hearing the arena boo this dude.
"You can deal with UFC, I know that they have flexible contract system. All these talks about "strict" contract terms with signing with UFC, come ONLY from Vadim Finkelstein, who wants to push his owns business projects through Fedor's fights" -- Aleksander Emelianenko
Wait a minute....
An analysis was done on the handle and middle finger reported to be Rex Ryan’s and it’s been confirmed it’s definitely not his. The % body fat of the hand and finger couldn’t possibly be his given the size of the dude’s mammoth gut.
not a jets fan
but I have no problem with this. Crowd boos, he gives them the finger, nobody got hurt. It’s a beautiful thing.
The real crime was
the eating of Fred Flinstone’s head.
Its just sad when people get offended by this type of stuff.
Wow he fliped the bird to a crowed that was booing him. get the fuck over it. have you ever thought about what the crowd might have been yelling at him??
Ive only been to a couple mma event’s but ive been to plenty of nfl & nba games and i can tell you allot of sports fans can be ruthless with the things they yell at fighters, players and coaches.

you speak truth norml
since when did dolphin fans turn into a bunch of sensitive pussies that need apologies cause their feelings got hurt? they were ridiculing him so he shot the crowd the finger, that is part of the fun.
that gay glazer thing sounds pretty weak though.
because the jets made the playoffs and the miami dolphins with chad whats his lastname at qb failed to do so..
its just hating on a guy for useless nonsense because they wanna hate. not blaming the fact that there team sucks on there team or there teams decisions..
ironic a raiders fan can make sense of that. really ironic

You see...
It isn’t the Dolphin’s fans that are pressing charges or whatever. The NFL will impose a financial penalty on him, and possibly the Jets organization. Of course Miami fans gave him the business. What would you expect? It’s not like he gave a bunch of people the finger and they crucified him. Nothing happened. One guy snapped a picture and probably showed it to a bunch of people cause he thought it was funny or cool. As much as it isn’t a big deal what he did, it’s similarly rediculous to try to spin it around and paint the fans who boo’d him into villains. Surely if Ryan can flip off a bunch of people they can boo him….
And I have seen first hand how much Raiders fans suffer year in and year out (my brother is a Raiders’ fan), so I’ll just assume you are just bitter towards Dolphins’ fans because they are 1 of the 31 teams who have performed better than your team over the last 5 or 6 years.
There still mad because their Super Hero Marino holds almost every major
QB Record and never got a Super Bowl Ring on his finger and only one Super Bowl Appearence!!! That says a ton about the QB! His leadership skill under pressure must have been squat…10 playoff appearences, 1 Super Bowl Appearence= 0 RIngs on 10 fingers!!!! HAHA! As great as he was, his legacy will always be questioned for never leading them to glory!!! Suck it Dolphin Fans!
Just out of curiosity, are the people who are saying this is no big deal the same people who wanted Brock Lesnar strung up from the nearest tree when he flipped off the crowd?
The weather is here, I wish you were beautiful
Yes. I don't give a shit about Ryan or the Jets. I don't follow them. I follow MMA and I pay for PPV's or live event seating, part of that goes into Brock's pocket. I would not appreciate Brock giving me the finger IF I was in the crowd that night.

new york jets coach gets booed in miami, go effing figure.. i would have given them the finger too. my dads friends are dolphins fans im a raiders fan and honestly the dolphins fans suck, they cant get over the 1972 season and pray doom upon all teams every year until they lose, WAR REX RYAN AND THE BIRD
What an idiot
Flipping off a crowd for booing you is a stupid thing to do. If the NFL is anything like the FA he’s guaranteed to get fined, you’d think that a coach would have more sense than that.
"If I could change my name what would it be? Jesus"
Tito Ortiz (seriously...)
oh c'mon
This was all in good fun! Doesn’t anybody see this? Look at the guys face! Didn’t anyone watch the card? They interviewed Rex and he was booed the entire time yet he laughed and joked, poking fun at them back and said “Go ahead and boo, and we’ll come back here next season and beat you guys too!”. He was having fun, look at his face in this pic, does that look like the face of a guy pissed off that just got ejected from a game?
This is completely different then from Brock doing it out of anger and pride or any NFL/NHL/NBA player that does it after being kicked out or for whatever reason out of anger. He was just bugging the crowd and he TRULY meant no ill will.
