Pat Miletich: 'Frank Shamrock and I have verbally agreed to fight each other'

"We were hoping to put together a fight in March, but now it looks like that may not happen. We might have to wait for April or May. Who knows if it will ever happen. Frank Shamrock and I have verbally agreed to fight each other, but from what I understand he’s being difficult in the negotiations. For whatever reason he may have, I think it’s too bad because I think it’s the type of fight that would draw a lot of attention. It would be two guys that were UFC champions and have done a lot for that organization, and now they’re involved with Strikeforce. I think it just made sense. But for whatever reason I think he’s having trouble pulling the trigger. He may be nervous about getting slapped around, but that’s the way it sits right now. Hopefully I can find someone else to fight if he doesn’t want to do it. I want to get in there before Summer."
Shuri-ryu karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black Pat Miletich (29-7-2) contemplates having just his third fight since 2002 by verbally agreeing to trade blows with fellow MMA "Legend" Frank Shamrock in late Spring or early Summer 2010. "The Croatian Sensation" returned to the fight game by knocking out Thomas Denny at Adrenaline MMA 2 in December 2008. Both Miletich and Lil' Shammy are currently free agents, which means that the former IFL Coaches don't yet have a home for their planned scrap. Is Strikeforce the probable destination? Or will Shamrock's "difficult negotiations" end this fight before it even begins?

Shamrock needs to get his braces off first.

Fedor once bet NASA he could survive re-entry without a spacesuit.
On July 19th, 1999, a naked Fedor re-entered the earth's atmosphere, streaking over 14 states and reaching a temperature of 3000 degrees. An embarrassed NASA publically claimed it was a meteor, and still owes him a beer.
no way...
Shfrank shamrock shwill shnever removsh those bracshes.
Britney Shpears is hot!
I like this fight but I USED to be a big MFS fan… excluding Tim. Not so much anymore.
I think Frank will own Pat seriously. His neck is badly damaged he can’t last in any sub attempts and his striking has lost some mustard.
Congrats to everyone who picked Robbie over MM. He took an a$$ whoopin but played a "risky" game plan like a fiddle. H O L Y S H 1 T that was an insane finish - Melvin was completly waxed. 2/3 on the night. Crap.
Look at what Couture & Coleman have started

Lets see these old dudes go at it, but in saying that Pat won’t have much of a chance!
The coach vs. An announcer?
Maybe 10 years ago, like Kev said. These guys are trying to make a buck so I will watch it, just don’t really care who wins.
This space for rent. Wanna bet on the Diaz fight? 01/28/10
File this with the Couture-Coleman fight
Don’t care about either one.

Awful fight.
And as much as I want to see Tito get smashed again, aren’t trilogy fights supposed to happen when each fighter has got one victory over the other? I mean, the first two fights weren’t even close.
The thing I’m worried about almost as much as Tito beating a washed-up Liddell, is Chuck KO’ing Tito and thinking he can hang with the big dogs at 205 again. He can’t, and I have no desire to see a guy who gave me so many great memories damaged any further.

"thinking he can hang with the big dogs at 205 again"
I thought he has a 4 fight contract in place. I dont think he is going to change weight class.
Chuck has signed a four-fight deal?
Regardless, I mean this should be a one-and-done fight for Chuck. If he wins and insists on fighting again, it shouldn’t be against the top dogs at 205. He could get badly hurt and risk jeopardizing the enjoyable retirement years that he has earned for himself. His speech and movement seems slower every time I see him, and I don’t think it was just the booze.
If Chuck stupidly insists on continuing to fight, he should exclusively take on cans from now on. Tito is a great start. Kimbo would be a great finish.
