A stunning comeback by the legend Dan Henderson …

Really? We know Henderson has KO power and we know Babalu has been knocked out before. Henderson didn’t change his plodding-I’m-going-to-hit-you-with-this-hammer stance.

They’re really trying to sell Dan Henderson hard.

I really wish the UFC would of kept Dan

Stick that win up your ass DAna. I hope he doesnt lose another fight in SF

With the win over the legend Matt Hughes the gates are slowly being greased. Soon it will be time to open the Shit gates once again.

hendo is still tha man in the first round. i don't know how anyone can be on shield's dick after that win. he got crushed until hendo gassed.

if babalu could have made it into the second we might have seen the exact same thing happen. that fight didn’t answer any questions, but you can’t blame strikeforce for hyping a vicious GnP ko from hendo.

Loved the SF KO's but...

Like someone said in the site before. Its easy to get flashy KO’s by setting up missmatches.
Benji is a 185er, Kyle is a 205er, Smith is a 185er, Lindland is ooold and Babaloo… come on… talk about fighters that need to retire. Did anyone see him winning this fight?

they were alot of fun to watch

But it was a record padding night for sure

kinda like

silva/maia silva/cote silva/leites but somehow that chump managed to make those gimme wins into those most boring fights in mma history

I don't consider it record padding.

But it certainly was an attempt to showcase Daley’s striking. There’s nothing wrong with that, but the result was exactly what Strikeforce was hoping would happen.

Most of the the staff over at BE chose Babalu over Hendo.

by Menime on Dec 7, 2010 6:00 PM EST up reply actions

That says more about their ability to pick fights than the quality of the match up.

There’s a reason Dan was a (roughly) -250 favorite.

thats why he got messed up by mousasi and hendo

That is extremely generous use of the word “epic”. Entertaining? Yes. Epic? No.

give SF credit, was a nice night of highlight reel endings…is what it is.

Yeah, it's all a bit "Emperors new clothes" with many posters...

Rogan says only the meatheads like KO’s and don’t appreciate a tactical ground battle and they follow suit with the “you’re uneducated” comments. Now I love some good ground work like the kind from Palhares or Sotiropulous (spellings will be wrong) but that doesn’ mean I have to like a Fitch hug-fest – which the UFC seems to be producing rather a lot of lately.

by Jimrod on Dec 8, 2010 3:34 AM EST reply actions

The reason so many UFC fighters come off as boring to alot of you

is because alot of them are at the top of the food chain and they know what it takes to win and be the best. Having a tactical ground game and working it is probably the most effective way to win a fight, thats why in the UFC you dont have a bunch of basic brawls were everyone ends up getting KO’d. Fitch, GSP etc. know they cant just go in throwing bombs and trying KO guys, you leave yourself open for a flukey loss. These guys try to win and fight to win and get dogged relentlessly for it, its MMA I really dont understand all the hate, this isnt like the movie Bloodsport guys this is real life its not really like that lol! I watched the Strikeforce event the other night and thought it was pretty good, I personally wouldve preffered to see a little more MMA as opposed to 5 slugfests were someone ends up unconcious (i hate that, its not good for you). I dont mind TKO’s were the guy is still there and the ref stops it, its just the unconcious ones were the guy is still gettting pounded while out, unconcious is not cool. Matt Lindland needs to hang it up, he gets KO’d worse than anyone and then loses it for awhile after when he doesnt know were or who he is, scarey to watch.
