Josh Thomson vs Tatsuya Kawajiri booked for Dynamite!! 2010

You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, Punk?

Instead of a rubber match with Gilbert Melendez in Strikeforce, Josh Thomson will travel overseas to take on venerable lightweight Tatsuya Kawajiri at Dynamite!! 2010 on Dec. 31 from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

MMA Fighting brought word of the pending match-up last night.

Thomson will come into this fight having won two in a row and 10 of 11 overall. His only loss in the last four years is to the previously mentioned Melendez.

"The Punk" has fought in the "Land of the Rising Sun" just once in his career but he'll make the trip once again with a "Crusher" ready to greet him when he gets there.

Kawakjiri, a former Shooto Welterweight Champion, had been on a nice little run of four wins in a row before he ran into the submission game of Shinya Aoki. The "Tobikan Judan" nearly took home a limb with an Achilles lock in the first round.

Thankfully, "Crusher" escaped unharmed and is fully ready for a war against Thomson.

Dynamite!! 2010 is the annual New Year's Eve show promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group. It's set to take place from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama Japan on Dec. 31 and will feature both DREAM and K-1 contested fights.

Kazushi Sakuraba is rumored to challenge Marius Zaromskis for the DREAM welterweight title. Melvin Manhoef, Shinya Aoki and Gegard Mousasi are also rumored for the event.

Keep it locked to for more on this still developing fight card.
