I stopped commenting on this site over a year ago because i just end up arguing with people who obviously don’t know the first thing about MMA. But that comment is just too ridiculous. why is it people always want to point out who is moving forward in a fight as justification for a bad decision? EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION! mma is as much about setting your opponent up to do what you want them to as it is about physically dominating them. Did Garcia walk forward the majority of the fight, sure, did he get trashed and completely whiff on 85% of the strikes he threw, without a doubt (see the fight metric #‘s) so if that’s the case, then who was really dictating how the fight unfolded? it’s called baiting your opponent and the fact that Garcia went all 3 rounds without figuring out that he was being played is certainly not justification for THE WORST DECISION IN UFC HISTORY!!!!! This is MMA afterall, mixed MARTIAL ARTS, and as much as i hate to use a phrase Rogan throws around, true martial arts is like a chess game, and sometimes in chess you have to make your opponent move forward blindly before springing the trap. anyone with any real combat training or experience would understand this.
