IFC results and live updates for 'Genesis' on Nov. 9 in Israel

Ifc-results_medium

IFC: "Genesis" went down today (Nov. 9) at the Nokia Arena in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The event streamed live at GoFightLive.tv for $9.99 at 2 p.m. ET. The show featured a triple-main event with plenty of international flavor. Well-traveled veteran heavyweight Jeff Monson took on Sergey Shemetov while Frank Trigg fought for the first time since being released by the UFC against Roy Neeman in a catchweight bout of 181-pounds.

Also on the card was former UFC Heavyweight Champion Ricco Rodriguez who went up against M-1 and Bellator veteran Daniel Tabera. Originally scheduled to be a 205-pound bout, the fight was moved to a catchweight 215-pound contest after Rodriguez came in ten pounds over the limit.

Daniel Gracie made his long-awaited return to MMA on an undercard that also featured the likes of former UFC competitors Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Hermes Franca and Shonie Carter.

IFC: "Genesis" results after the jump.

soko could still be a huge force, i honestly believe it......

he has got to be the most frustrating fighter in the world, he has a glaring weakness, and MUST be working on it, but just seems to be getting no better…….ok, it is not team quests forte, but he must be learning something?

I thought the same.

I’d like to see Monson back in the UFC fighting at 205. he could pose a threat.

Sonnen and Bisping = Pillow hands. The KO power of a paraplegic.

Why is Monson fighting him?

Shonie Carter

after losing his fight, announced that he might be retiring. He was very emotional and the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

Daniel Gracie

proclaims that he is “BACK” in the post fight interview. He looked very impressive, landing a solid uppercut before a trip takedown and a quick turnaround to a rear-naked choke.

He just fought

and lost a decision. He looked tired early and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him retire again.

That's funny

I thought I remembered him “retiring” this past summer. That was shorter than a Brett Favre-style retirement.

Frank Trigg

was aggressive from the early going and absolutely overwhelmed Neeman. Still a bit slow but he looked very good.

Jeff Monson

with a dominant submission win. Nothing other that what anyone was already expecting. Says he is for sure dropping down to 205-pounds now.

Great night of fights

The only person on this Event that i would be interested in seeing in a major promotion like UFC/Strikeforce/Bellator is Monson.

The Snowman was just vicious on the ground and his grappling is worldclass.
