MY FAVOURITE FIGHTER EVER!

Wanderlei is my favourite fighter ever because he always comes to make an exciting fight (which many do not these days) cough Fitch cough cough.

He always looks for the knockout aswell and also because he’s knocked Rampage out cold !!

Best picture EVER!

Can’t get me a PRIDE wand ANYWHERE here in the UK :( A Signed one would be amazing too…I actually bought a Wanderlei Round 5 figure at the UK UFC fan expo specifically to get it signed for my wall and his queue was shut and closed off within 5 mins :( Didn’t even get to meet him.

Oh and one more thing.

Chicken and rice.

Let me win! :D

Thanks round 5 and mma mania for setting up this competition aswell.

Why I am Wanderlei's Ultimate Fan;

When I first started watching MMA, Wanderlei Silva was the fighter who stood out most. At first I couldn’t believe how crazy this guy was and even without knowing his reputation I’d be on the edge of my seat screaming at the television set. He’d get cracked on the jaw and keep on swinging. To me this was something extraordinary.

Mixed Martial Arts is one of the most (if not the most) violent sports on the planet. Everyone who competes is scary, however, no one is as scary as Wanderlei.

As I grew more accustomed to watching him fight, it wasn’t just his actions inside the cage that gave me chills. When walked towards the ring, or octagon, with Sandstorm blaring and his eyes narrowed I knew what to expect; pure, unadulterated violence.

I’d often wonder what the poor guy standing across the cage from the Chute-Boxe schooled monster was thinking. No stare could match Wanderlei’s, no amount of training could prepare you for the brutality that was about to ensue.

Wanderlei didn’t need a reason to knee you in the face, or stomp your head into the canvass. He wanted to. And I wanted him to.

Wanderlei Silva, to this day, is my favourite fighter. He is a beast within the octagon and a true gentlemen when outside of it. Few fighters ever carve a legacy into MMA, but he is definitely one of them.

WAR WAND.

I am the Ultimate Wanderlie Silva fan because i went to my first UFC event just to see him fight live at UFC 84. It was my first ever UFC event and i needed to make sure it was a Wanderlie Silva event, cuz he is a legend and always puts on on a show win los or draw. I like his attiude, especially in todays age of, putting on a lay n pray exhibition in order to secure a in, Wanderlie goes all out and slugs it out to please the fans. Ive met dozens of fighters, but Wanderlie is by far the nicest and will take the time to sign and chat it up for a bit. I’ve followed Silva since the old UFc days against Tito and Belfort and of course the Pride days.

My goal is to have a wall in my game/movie room dedicated to the Axe Murderer. I have a few memorabillia from Wanderlie and an autographed Wanderlie Pride edition would surely add to it greatly!!!

I waited in the lobby at MGM Grand just to get his autograph, took about 2 hours, but it was worth it. He walked in and i asked him for his sig and security would not allow him to stop to give sigs, because he was on his way to the press conference, but he turned to me and said “my friend, i promis i ll be back” so we waited and waited, and he finally came out, there were a few people there by now, and he was signing as people swarmed him, and he looked up and said “my friend, your autograph” pretty cool stand up dude.

I went throught hell and paid a pretty penny trying to find an authentic pair of Pride FC gloves , just to get them signed by Wanderlie sometime in the future, but i got them. I also got a hold of a rare HAO Wanderlie figure direct from Japan that also cost me a pretty penny.

So me and my buddies went to UFC114 , drove 14 hours to get there, and waited in his line for about 2 and half hours to get his signature on my Pride Gloves.

So on my wanderlie memorabilia collection i have, A Pair of Pride FC signed gloves, Wanderlie Silva HAO, Wanderlie Silva Round 5 1st edition white shorts, Wanderlie LE Black Shorts, Signed FIGHT MAgazine by Wand with him on the cover, a signed PRIDE Edition would add to it very nicely…..

I have much more MMA memorabiliia, but i just put up my Wanderlie Collection,. how much its worth $$$ is TBD. I mean i know his sig is worth some $$$, depending on what its on. The Pride gloves are easiyl a couple of G$$$s. I had some offers to buy them, but i wont ever sell them. I put them on ebay to see the value, never to sell, and got quite a few offers in the $700-$1600 range. but i will never sell them. I eventually want to get all the Pride Champsto sign them.

Favorite Fighter/Ulitmate Fan

I have been following Wand since his early Pride days. I was fortunate enough to have access to the PPV through my parents when I was younger and would watch just because of him. If you are a fan of MMA and not a fan of Wand’s in some way, there is something clearly wrong with you.

His never die attitude and persistence is what sets him apart from all other fighters. He has a persona that is hard to not like. I have stuck by him through the ups and downs in his career and can’t wait for him to get back to his old form and dominate everyone that challenges him once again.

Here are few tribute digital artworks that I have put together in the past to celebrate The Axe Murderer!

I have a thought on wandi. Lets just say that wandi is an abbreviation..so here we go

W- Wild
A- Aggressive
N- No Fear
D- Destructive
I- Intense

These explain in just a few words the fighting style of a legend, a man who helped take this sport to a new level. A man who embraces fans and the art of combat. I won’t try and explain any further for there are not enough words to describe wanderlei silva. Only thinGreat at holding waens hahag I will say is that to enjoy this sport make sure you tune in to the axe murderers next fight…you willnot be dissappointed!!

Ultimate Axe Murderer Fan!

I’ve been the Ultimate Wanderlei fan since his days in Pride. (Yes, I was even there live at Pride 33 in Vegas) When I heard a rumor that he was going to sign with the UFC to fight Chuck at UFC 79, I dropped $800 for tickets with my Fight Club membership. I can say that I’m one of the few people that have had the honor of witnessing the BEST fight in UFC HISTORY (yes, over Griffin v Bonnar). Since Wanderlei’s move to the UFC, I have attended every single live fight card that he was on that was held on US soil.

These days I have variations of Wanderlei’s tattoo shaved into the back of my head whenever I run endurance events so my competitors can see it when I run pass them! (pics attached) WAR WANDERLEI!!!!!!

Why I am The Ultimate Wanderlei Silva Fan

I have supported Wanderlei through thick and thin, win or lose since his time in PRIDE. Through the criticisms of his naysayers regarding quality of opposition in PRIDE and the negative assessments of those who would criticize his technical ability and brawling style in an attempt to degrade his legendary status; I have always been in support of Wanderlei Silva. Though I have never been blessed with the honor and privilege of watching him compete live and in person I still feel as though I’ve seen someone special, a rare once in a lifetime human being, compete with dignity and honor in a young but amazing sport.

Wanderlei Silva taught me some invaluable lessons, and I can never repay the debt that I owe to him and the example he’s set; to never give up on anything in life. I remember being down on my luck and very pessimistic towards life and my job. I just wasn’t living up to my own expectations and could not seem to find the right motivation or the right approach to pull myself back up out of this rut. Working on the road, there’s no family, no friends, no familiarity nearby and very little support, so it’s sometimes difficult to always be self motivated but something Wanderlei said got to me one day. I don’t know the origin of the quote, but I know I heard it from Wand, it was something along the lines of "It’s easy to celebrate victory, but when you’re under criticism and things are difficult is the time to show your true strength." I remember that really fit for me at the time, it seemed like a lot of people were working against me instead of with me and though not the most profound quote I’ve ever come across at that time and in that place it was what I needed to hear. Wand came through for me again, and it had nothing to do with some fight I bet on.

He is an honest example of a real warrior in and out of the cage. I look up to Wanderlei, as someone to aspire to be like; a man who’s fearlessness, heart and toughness have become legendary. I would always look at those examples and wish I could be as tough as him, wish I could fight like he did but even more importantly, I wish I could live with the dignity and the humility with which he approaches all of his fans. As such I have made it a point to NEVER miss out on a Wanderlei fight.

When Wanderlei fights, he fights for the fans. With no other fighter is this more evident, when he raises his hands in the middle of a fight imploring the fans to cheer him on and we respond he is truly re-invigorated and even more motivated to win. Of how many fighters can you say that you’ve received a genuine "Thank you!" for your continued support? The man trains his butt off, it’s his sweat and blood (and the tears of his fallen enemies) that have made his career, yet he continuously & sincerely is thanking us, the fans. He is an inspirational athlete and a man of true and honest character. These are only a few of the many reasons why I will never cease to be a fan.

"Long shall we remember
He who walked the road of danger
Master of revenge
Death's no stranger

Blood and death lived on his sword
The god of war his only lord
Into the depths of hell
Go all he fell"

The video on my phone that plays when my alarm goes off is the knockout from the second Silva v. Ramage fight in Pride, just so I can smile ,when I wake up, seeing Wandi Knee someones face in. I even named my dog Silva after him! He has been my favorite fighter since I first saw him throw those vicious knees in his early UFC days and then watching his ferocity when he went to Pride was amazing! He WILL make another run at the title!

Why I am the Ultimate Wanderlei Fan

While I may not own an extensive Axe Murderer collection of trinkets, I feel that I am the ultimate fan because I respect the man. Not the myth, not the legend, but the man. Wanderlei Silva is a characterized by his unspeakable brutality in the cage and ring, but I could care less about that. Yes, he is a fantastic fighter with an exciting skillset, but it is not the Axe Murderer that interests me.

Wanderlei Silva, the man, is why I respect and idolize him. Joe Rogan once said that Wanderlei was the kindest and nicest person you could ever meet outside of the cage, probably because he didn’t have any anger once leaving it. Silva refers to his fans as “friends”, always takes time to meet with them, and is passionate about his fanbase. This is unheard of in our sport. If it isn’t Rampage giving a fan the Three Stooges slap across the face, or Cung Le not bothering to get off his cellphone to take a photo.

Not only do you see in his video blogs how excited about his faith, family life, and son he is; Wanderlei is an exceptional coach. He has produced one of the best facilities in Las Vegas and is passionate about giving back to the youthful fighters trying to make it in MMA. For these reasons, I respect Wanderlei and the lessons he leaves with us.

For further proof, I was the first person to submit and appear in the Wand Fight Team tribute video.

Wanderlei fan

I could say I’m the biggest Wanderlei fan and show my memorabilia and autographs; though I feel I can just share what an inspiration Wanderlei Silva is to me. Not only am I a huge fan but, I look up to Wanderlei. He is a hero of mine not only because of his epic wars but, because of his heart, determination, as well as his passion for the sport and his fans.

Seeing this passion, he gives me this drive to be the best at everything I do; to put in 1000% of myself in everything I invest myself in.
I am driven to never give up and to have faith that everything works out; to push through anything and keep moving forward.

By the end of the year I am hoping to join his fight gym as I do aspire to fight as well.
It’d be nice to win this contest, but if anything; I’d just like him to know that he is my hero.

Wanderlei Silva

Wanderlei has been and will remain my favorite fighter of all time. No matter what, he steps up onto the battleground, whether it be a ring or octagon, and pours his heart out for his fans. Win or lose, he gives his best for his family and fans (or as he calls them, “friends”). This is why he is not only a LEGEND, but a true warrior. And whether I win or lose this contest, one thing will stay the same: Wanderlei, you are the greatest, and my favorite. I met you twice in Vegas last year, flew all the way there from Florida for that single reason. I hope I am fortunate enough again to meet you. Until then, I’ll be following your progress and watching your wars. Much love Wandy, big hugs! And WAR!!!

Why am I the Ultimate Wanderlei Silva fan? Here’s why. I’ve fought him three times and lost brutally all three times. Once at Pride 13, then again at Pride 17 and a rubber match in Pride Total Elimination 2003. Wanderlei kicked my ass all three times and sure, it hurt my “Pride”, but it was the best ass kicking ever. Wanderlei Silva is a devastating fighter, but outside the ring he’s a gentle and kind man. He’s true and loyal to his fans. We’ve had some sake together many a times. I am a big Wanderlei Silva fan even after all three losses to him and I’d like to have his Round 5 figurine to remind me of how my ass was handed to me. Here are some pictures to prove my fight.

the first fight i ever saw, was ivc 6 wandy vs mike van arsdale… 4 minutes later, after an uppercut and soccer kick, my life was forever changed. i had come across the greatest sport ever. wanderlei is the true definition of a fighter, gladiator, warrior..and pretty much every other kick ass word used to describe someone. when wanderlei fights…you know you wont be sitting down….he brings pure excitement to the cage, and leaves it all out there. some fighters would say “i was ready to die in this cage,” wanderlei on the other hand.. would rip his own heart out to show u how much heart he has, and that cant be measured in wins and losses. a ferocious competitor in the cage, only one of the greatest could be so humble outside of the cage and say “i dont have fans, i have friends.” i could write 5000 words on how amazing wanderlei is as a fighter, ambassador of mma, and human being…but i only need one, LEGEND!

I AM THE ULTIMATE WANDERLEI SILVA FAN!

Hello i feel im the biggest Wanderlei Silva fan because he is to blame for making me a fan fanatic of mma. I admire his aggressive fighting style. I have most of his fights on dvd including copies of his first mma bouts in Vale Tudo from Brazil. I’ve had the pleasure of watching him fight live at pride 33 in vegas and again in vegas at UFC 84 “ill will”. As i watched the Wanderlei fights both of my younger brothers become mma fans! We have made several trips to vegas not only to watch him fight but also meet and greet him. Our room has plenty of mma memorabilia of Wanderlei Silva. I should also mention that for my 24th birthday my fiance went through her troubles by getting me my own UFC 25 “Ultimate Japan” cake with Tito vs Wanderlei figurines on it. Almost all of it was edible except for the Silva and Ortiz figures, so this prize will be nice in our collection and shared by all of us here. Im glad that because of Wanderlei, my siblings and i are fans of mixed martial arts. Here are some pictures I’d like to share with you!

Why am i the Ultimate Wanderlei Silva Fan

The main reason I believe im the Ultimate Wanderlei Silva fan is because i started watching mma back in 98-99 when the UFC and PRide started to make an impact, i got into it real quick but when I saw this man fight for the first time and i think the first one was with Quinton i was blown away by his performance, by his love of the fans, by his aggresive fighting style, and his unique stare down, i thought to myself “what are his opponents thinking when they get with him to the ring, they must be pissing their shorts” This guy is a scary person when he enter the ring/octagon, but when he exits it, he is the nicest guy youll ever meet and greet in mma. He doesnt fight for money or fame, trust me he does this for the love of the sports and his dear fans. HE DOES IT FOR US. He sacrifices, tears and blood to fight for us. This man is my idol. No kidding. When i went to vegas for the very first time (a couple of months ago) The 3 things in my list where: wanderlei silvas gym, know vegas, and have a good time. I went to the store for some reason which i regret is not going to meet him, i would just go again just to train with him for once in my life. Never have i liked the shirt i bought in his vegas retail store, even his shirt is amazing i dont see any other shirt that tops it. So here are my pics:

My Favorite Fighter, Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva

I’ve been watching Wanderlei Silva compete since I was a child, literally. He was my brothers favorite fighter back in the day, I remember being like twelve and watching his Vale Tudo fights, no gloves no rules. Fucking awesome! He’s been my favorite mixed martial artist ever since.. I’ve had shrts made of him, I’ve drawn, I’ve tried to watch every ppv he’s ever been on. Hell, I named my first bong Wandy, after him.lol My dream is to rewind time, go to Brazil and train with him and Team Chute Boxe. That would be an honor, getting punched in the face and kneed in the gut by the Axe Murderer himself. So I think I deserve the credit of being his Ultimate fan, not for the prizes(I’ll probably get them for Christmas anyway), but because I truely feel I am. Wanderlei Silva is a warrior, an mma legend, one of the greatest of all time, and I am his biggest fan.

Ultimate Wanderlei Silva fan

If you’re like me, or countless other MMA fans, you cannot watch the legendary Lenne Hardt introduce a Pride fighter without feeling your arms break out into a million little goose bumps. Her shrill, high pitched squeal, made only the more intense by her penchant to roll her R’s, makes for the perfect introduction to a fight; especially when accompanied by Wanderlei’s familiar Sandstorm entrance theme. For years, this pairing struck fear into the hearts of his opponents and invoked a sense of adoration and pride in his fans. Wanderlei Silva was their fighter. Their champion. But what was it that endeared him to so many?

There are few fighters who seem to be surrounded by a sort of intangible aura. We can’t see it or touch it, but we can certainly feel it. Today, Anderson Silva has it. But it was Wanderlei Silva, perhaps, who was the first fighter to have enjoyed this indescribable force.

For four years he was seemingly untouchable; indestructible. Without recording a loss, he tore through a list of MMA greats; Guy Mezger, Dan Henderson, Kazushi Sakuraba (3 times), Kiyoshi Tamura, "Rampage" Jackson (twice), Ikuhisa Minowa, and a fight ruled a draw (which Wandy would have won by decision had there been judges to keep score) to Mirko Cro Cop. More impressively, out of his 16 wins during this span, 14 of them came by way of (T)KO.

Not only was he winning most of his fights, he was doing so in devastating and entertaining fashion. His knees, stomps, and soccer kicks were some of the most vicious attacks in all of mixed martial arts. But these wins weren’t all due to Wanderlei’s superior fighting ability. Sure, he was great, had talent, and worked his ass of in training camp to reach the pinnacle of the MMA world, but these weren’t the only reasons for his success. It goes back to that aforementioned "aura"- the "intangible force" as I have dubbed it.

It was as though his opponents were beaten before they had even entered the ring. The look on Rampage’s face prior to his second clash with "The Axe Murderer" says it all.

Starting with his epic stare down…

the intimidating twirl of his wrists…

and (usually) ending with an impressive knockout…

His fights, for the most part, followed the same exact formula. It was expected not only by his fans, but by Wanderlei himself, and, I suspect, his opponents as well. He feared no man; in his words: “I will fight any man in the world – When I am afraid to do so, I will retire”. Fans adored the kill-or-be-killed fearlessness that he embodied. But what happens when the aura is tarnished? What comes of a man once considered indestructible? When the entire world, his opponents included, realize that he is just that… merely a man?

I would argue that something equally as impressive has taken hold of Wanderlei Silva, and helped carry him forward through the next stage in his career. While the aura of invincibility may have proven to be an illusion, there is another side of it that still holds true to this day. And it has little to do with his fighting ability.

Although he may not be the Wandy of old, The Axe Murderer is still loved and adored, not only as a fighter, but as a man. Adding another face to his “aura” entirely. Few fighters can say they have thousands, millions, of fans who show their undying support during the good times and the bad. If this website is any indication, Wanderlei is one of those fighters. We, the fans, have stuck by him during his rough patch at the end of his Pride career. When he fell victim to Cro Cop’s infamous left high kick, or Dan Henderson’s dynamite of a left hook, us fans realized they were merely set-backs. When he came to the UFC and went 1-3, the loudest and proudest of us were on this website and others showing our support. How can you not tirelessly support a man such as Wanderlei, man who has such a deep appreciation for his fans? As he said:

“I don’t know what everybody’s motivation is, but for me, I feel like I’m an artist. This is my presentation. People come to watch my show. For that, I have to open up my game. I’m going in there to hit, and the guy is trying to hit me. This is the emotion of the fight. I put my life on the line. This is the emotion you have to feel and why I think my fans support me win or lose. But I don’t think everyone understands this.”

While Wanderlei’s mystique may have slightly waned since his days as Pride Middleweight champion – and his opponents have come to realize that he is merely mortal; that he bleeds like them, can be KO’d just like them – he is still a great fighter. A great fighter who is still capable of beating almost anyone in the sport. And who else can put an as entertaining a show as the Axe Murderer? I think I speak for most Wandrei Silva fans: no matter what, win or lose, he will always be our favorite fighter.

I am Wanderlei's Ultimate Fan

Why that since begin to see the MMA, Wandeco was the first fighther that know and my pasion by this sport grow too much, begin to see his fights in brasil when it debuted in the championship of Vale Todo Brazil to see it fall of the ring and go back for ko to Filho this like me too much see to a type with such heart and spirit of fight that was for my something magnificent and worthy of respect.

See it in Pride was something magnificent too,see as it defeated to Sakuraba in three occasions, to jackson defeated in two occasions. And something that did me almost see it like a god was to see it struggle contro Mirko Crocop in two occasions although lose one was worthy of respect see it do this by that leave in my something that can not describe. And although it lose or win always be a warrior for my and to Wandeco doesn’t matter what tall you are , what faster you are ,o what powerful you are, always give you a war this is Wanderlei Silva the most dangerous man my favourite fighter, MMA Legend, one of the greatest.

WOW!

I love all the Wand memorabilia you guys have. I don’t stand a chance at winning this thing, just want to add that Wand is the greatest and with the recent crop of “play-it-safe” fighters, just makes Wand an ever bigger legend. I love how Bas Rutten chuckled during Wand’s fight with Mark Hunt saying “ahh Wanderlie, he’s something special” because he truly is.

Wandy Contest

I’ve been a Wanderlei fan for as long as I can remember, he was the first Mixed Martial Artist I truly got attached to and the sheer excitement I get from watching him fight in is on a whole other level than for any other fighter. He guarantees only one thing, violence, and we all love him for it to this day. He has put on epic beatdowns and even when he lost he did so in dramatic fashion. When he lost to CroCop in their second fight he really showed the true meaning of the “Warrior’s Spirit” and his heart was unquestionable as he took punishment the likes which few will ever experience in the ring or cage, but still he kept coming forward.
I’ve been training Kickboxing and Muay Thai for a decade now and I have done everything in my power to imitate Wandy in terms of aggression and determination. He is a true idol and role model as well as an example of how I would like to conduct myself both inside and outside of the ring/cage. I would literally name my kid after Wanderlei if I ever have a son; I got my ex-girlfriend pregnant a few years ago and I know if we hadn’t gotten an abortion I would have named my son Wanderlei. I know this may be inappropriate or even offensive to some, but Wanderlei is more than just a fighter, he truly is a hero of mine.

Biggest Wanderlei Fan Ever

<img src=“”http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n65/John_Bobi/?action=view&current=WanderleiCollections2.jpg" target="_blank">Photobucket"/>
So tonight they were having a local promotion in Oregon. Wandy was cornering two fighters and doing an autograph signing. We went out to eat before the event. Wanderlei walks in and sits behind me. The photo on the left is me with my wanderlei card and wanderlei eating dinner over my right shoulder. The top right hand photo is me in front of my wanderlei shrine. That’s a signed action figure, glove, trading card and t-shirt. Bottom right hand photo is me and wanderlei at the ufc expo. I’ve spent a lot of money creating this collection and have traveled long distances to get these signatures. I know I already have a lot wanderlei autographs and that might make some say I don’t need more. But this is about being the biggest fan and since I have spent a ridiculous amount of money and time putting myself on autograph lines doesn’t that make me more of a fan than someone who has no autographs and has never met him. Wanderlei is my favorite fighter and i am his biggest fan. WAR WANDERLEI!!!!!

Why I am Wand's biggest fan

Why am I Wanderlei Silva’s biggest fanatic? He fights for his fans, fights to entertain. Watching him is like viewing a brutal, violent ballet. Look at his all of his fights, he only has 8 decisions in 45 fights. His last couple fights against Rich Franklin and Chuck Liddell are legendary. I remember Wand saying after his loss to Dana “Sorry boss, if you’re happy, I’m happy”.

His Pride fights made him a legend all over the world. He is one of the few fighters that you know when he is going to fight, you will get your money’s worth. I have had the chance to meet Wand on a few occasions. He is one of the nicest people in the world and not just among mma fighters. He calls his fans his friends and he loves them all.

PS. I love Round 5 and have all the figures of people I really like. Only a few I haven’t bought! =D

I'm the Ultimate Wanderlei Silva fan because...

I actually ended a 5 year relationship w/ my girlfriend just so I could watch PRIDE 28, or more importantly watch Wanderlei KTFO Rampage and successfully defend his title AND give Quinton Jackson the ONLY KO loss of his career. And by KO, I mean, completely knocked out cold.

It was either go to her birthday party or watch Wanderlei defend his belt. It was a no brainer and I never looked back!

That is why I’m the Ultimate Wanderlei Silva fan

And if anyone tries to dispute it, I will give them a vicious Wanderlei Silva style beating!

Why I'm the Ultimate Wand fan

I have supported him ever since I started watching MMA. The Axe Murderer to me symbolises everything great about the sport. In the cage he is aggressive, determined, vicious, has great heart and passion, always looks to entertain his friends (as he calls us fans) and put on the best show possible, as he looks for the KO every single time no matter the opponent. He’ll face anyone of any talent at any size and will give it all that he has, which is why he’s had so many classics at different weights against the likes of Rampage, Sakaraba, Hunt, Cro Cop, Henderson, Liddell (my personal favourite ever UFC fight), Arona, Yoshida, Belfort, Franklin, Jardine and Bisping. Win/lose you always know that Wand has given it his all and done everything he could to be entertaining and to be the winner and he usually succeeded at both. Every fight I watch him compete in I get emotionally involved, whether its the highs of his Pride 2003 MW GP win and his successful MW title defences or the lows of his brutal defeats to Cro Cop, Hendo and Rampage, every fight provokes a reaction. For a man who only started martial arts classes in Brazil so that he’d have better luck with the ladies he hasn’t done too badly.

Out of the cage he is a gentleman, I’ve heard countless stories of him taking his time to sign autographs and take photos and even inviting his friends for inpromptu tours around his gym in Las Vegas. He is a great role model and personally I feel inspired everytime I watch him to be a better man, and there aren’t many people that I can say that about in life nevermind MMA. Many other celebrities could learn important lessons from Wand on how to conduct themselves around fans and make time for those who have always supported them. Amongst his peers he is universally respected and if you have any sense you will listen to what he says, hopefully Sonnen paid attention to Wand’s advice in that infamous car ride.

I may not have the huge collection of Wand merchandise or the privilege to have met the man in person but what I do have is my unquestioned support to an MMA legend and a role model who is worthy of that title and I’d value loyalty to your favourites over merchandise collections anyday.

Wanderlei

Im not going to write a big drawn out paragraph about how I am the biggest Wandy fan all I can say is the man is MMA I have been watching him since the early 90’s and I can honestly say he is the most entertaing fighter I have ever watched fight, he has never been in a boring minute let alone a boring round he always looks to finish and he feeds off the crowd he cares about his fans and I am proud to call my self one of his . Thank you for the chance to win.

Ultimate Fan

I am the ultimate fan of not just Wanderlei but of MMA! Wanderlei is a pioneer and I never miss a PPV he is on! I also need this to help complete my collection of Round 5 signed figures. I have travelled all over the midwest on last minute notice to obtain autographs of some of the top MMA stars. Wanderlei is one that has eluded me! I have almost all of the World Of MMA Champions signed except Wanderlei. My sons room is decorated as an autograph heaven. I REALLY NEED THIS ONE! I have not had the opportunities like some of the others posted on here to meet him.

The number 1 Wanderlei Silva fan!!!

Wanderlei Silva became my favorite fighter since the IVC times in 97, when the fights used to be fights without gloves and the MMA was known as Vale-Tudo. He always showed the heart of a champion, had an agressiviness that I’ve never seen from any other fighter; a true warrior spirit, and one of the most important things, he always loved his fans. I’ve been following his path since then and I’m proud to see when he fights. I can one day tell my children and in the future to my grandchild that I witnessed Wanderlei’s fights. I will always show my admiration and respect to the greatest fighter ever!

My Wanderlei Silva amateur video (2 parts (the reason for the numbers in title above both videos is the youtube policy for copyright)) and my tattoo below shows that I’m the Ultimate Wanderlei Silva fan:

Enjoy!
