MMA Quick Quote: Paul Daley would 'like to fight K.J. Noons' after he 'knocks out Scott Smith'

From the Strikeforce media conference call today (Nov. 23):

"Without being disrespectful to Cyborg or Mr. Coker, I don't think that a fight with Cyborg is something that I am looking for at the moment. I would rather fight K.J. Noons, Nick Diaz straight away or Tyron Woodley, which is maybe not a bigger name but I respect him and I think a fight with him will not only be a challenge for me but it will be an exciting fight. But ideally I'd like to fight Noons after I knock out Scott Smith. It makes it a more fun fight because I respect Scott Smith, because I feel like I am familiar with them because I have watched a lot of their fights. I know how they operate and have a lot of knowledge on that person, rather than someone I don't admire."

British striker Paul Daley is back with a major mixed martial arts promotion and he's ready to tear through Strikeforce's welterweight division. First up on the list -- the comeback kid, Scott Smith at Strikeforce: "Henderson vs Babalu" on Dec. 4 in St. Louis. But he doesn't just have his eyes on Smith; he's also looking ahead to potential fights with Champion Nick Diaz and rising prospect Tyron Woodley. His wish though, is to throw leather with former professional boxer K.J. Noons. Is "Semtex" making the mistake of looking past the "Hands of Steel" of his unheralded but dangerous opponent in Smith? Do you see Daley having plenty of success in Strikeforce? Let's hear it, Maniacs.
