Quoteworthy:
"I think that's BS. I don't think I've been spoon-fed at all. I've been wrestling since I was five years old. I've gone through the grind, probably harder than anything he's ever done his entire life. So getting into that, coming over into the MMA world, I feel I've trained hard so I don't really know what he's talking about."
Rising undefeated featherweight prospect Chad Mendes isn't too pleased with Javier Vazquez accusing him of being spoon-fed. Mendes will meet Vazquez at WEC 52 on Nov. 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since coming into the WEC, "Money" has defeated the likes of Erik Koch, Anthony Morrison and Cub Swanson. "Showtime" has gone 2-2 in the WEC, but those two losses were narrow split decisions. Since those two losses, he submitted Jens Pulver and Mackens Semerzier. What do you think Maniacs? Is Vazquez just trying to hype up the fight? Or does he have a point?
