Jean Claude Van Damme returns to Martial Arts competition at age 50

This may be old news to many....I haven't been on the site for a while.  So forgive me if this was posted before.

Former action-movie star and European Kickboxing sensation Jean Claude Van Damme announced recently that he will attempt to be the first man in his 50's to fight professionally, when he takes on Olympic Boxing Gold Medalist, Somluck Kamsing in April 2011 in K-1

Van Damme says his motivation for fighting is to make it up to all the kids who were his fans who he disappointed and set a bad example for when he was doing drugs and living the rock star lifestyle.

Before becoming a movie star, Van Damme had a record of 20-2, with all 20 wins coming by KO.

What do you think, Maniacs?   Does JCVD have a chance at making history, or is this just a publicity stunt because he got left out of The Expendables?  (j/k)
