UFC 122: "Marquardt vs Okami" from the Konig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany is officially in the books, which means that a couple of fighters who busted their asses inside the cage are getting rewarded for it.
The promotion is cutting checks for $60,000 to each fight bonus recipient -- the same as the last numbered event on Spike, UFC 120 -- but $10,000 less than the $70,000 doled out at the blockbuster UFC 121 pay-per-view last month.
In addition to their base salaries, the UFC awarded newcomers Pascal Krauss and Mark Scanlon "Fight of the Night" for their thrilling, back-and-forth war of attrition on the preliminary card that Krauss took via unanimous decision.
Finally, Dennis Siver pulled in his "Submission of the Night" bonus by sinking his hooks into Andre Winner and forcing a tap with a rear naked choke in the first round. He was able to do so after rocking his British opponent with a hard left hand.
An outstanding homecoming for the German brawler.
Here are the special fight bonuses for UFC 122:
Fight of the Night -- Pascal Krauss vs. Mark Scanlon
Submission of the Night -- Dennis Siver
Knockout of the Night -- Karlos Vemola
Again, each fighter was paid $60,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along if they are made available.
