The "Ultimate Fighter" season seven winner Amir Sadollah came into this fight looking to get back in the win column after losing to Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 114 back in May.
Mission accomplished.
It was clear from the outset that Sadollah had the superior striking and he used his Muay Thai skills to batter Peter Sobotta with kicks throughout the three round contest. He won the first round by dominating the exchanges and defending all of Sobotta's attempts to take him down.
The rest of the fight would play out much the same way.
That theme repeated itself in the second but with Sobotta actually landing a takedown. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't able to hold his opponent down and he couldn't compete with Amir standing up.
Sadollah came out aggressive for the third frame and never let off the gas en route to a relatively easy unanimous decision on scores of 30-27 from all the judges. The most exciting offense of the fight were the spinning back kicks that Sobotta continued to throw, despite little success. At least the crowd enjoyed it.
In a theme that's been repeating itself tonight, Sobotta drops his third straight and might find himself out of a job. With the win, Sadollah on the other hand, drives his record up to 4-2 in his short UFC career.
