With the recent announcement from UFC President Dana White that the WEC will be merging into the UFC in just a few short months, I couldn’t help but get to thinking; will any of the struggling Lightweights be making an immediate drop to 145 or even 135?

We all know that there is a lot of obvious opportunities to the WEC joining the big show with UFC. Off the top of my head some of the benefits should include more interesting matches, fights that can save a card plagued with injuries, more speed and action on a card that may be filled with heavier weights, or just have the potential to be a little lackluster on paper, and most likely more events, and maybe even more free ones.
