"It should be called The Urijah Faber Show instead of World Extreme Cagefighting. They keep giving Faber all of the big promotional deals, in fact they just hooked him up with Amp Energy Drink. Amp just became the official energy drink of the WEC. I called the WEC regarding Amp about two months ago because a buddy of mine who works with Pepsi told me about it. I asked the WEC to get me on board with them and they said they would see what they could do. Lo and behold Faber got the deal."
WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner shares an oft-rumored sentiment that Urijah Faber still gets the royal treatment from the promotion despite no longer carrying the featherweight torch. "C-4" hasn't been able to detonate since sustaining injuries in his title defense against Donald Cerrone at WEC 38 in January 2009. He'll get a chance to prove he's still king of the 155-pound mountain when he locks horns with rising star Benson Henderson at WEC 46 this Sunday (Jan. 10) on Versus. Does the champ still have the goods? Or will we enter the "Smooth" era?

Varner is a tool
He’s right about the Urijah Faber show (just watch the latest trailer for proof of that) and the Cowboy does act like an idiot at times but the guy has proven to be gutless and the fact that he thinks that he’d be top 3/4 in the UFC right now is ridiculous, all of the top LWs would school Varner. He’s good but there are better strikers, wrestlers and submission specialists than him plus nobody has less character, heart and determination than him. Smooth will win by decision.

Jesus, i thought i disliked this guy before, but now I officially hate this kid. Talk about being a whiny, fvckin pussy….Hey Jaime, you wanna know why Faber got the deal over you? Because they give those endorsements to the tough bastards, and not the cowardly pussies. Because Faber continued to fight in a match where both of his hands were useless. That was one of the most courageous performances i’ve ever seen, trying to take on Mike Brown with only your elbows as weapons. What’s our last rememberance of you Varner?? Oh yeah, you pussied out of a fight on a technicality…..what’s even worse, YOU WERE WINNING THE FIGHT!!!!! I’ve never seen a bigger puss-out in my life time.

Varner needs to stop complaining. He is a really good fighter, and I think he will beat Henderson. But he hasnt fought since that disgraceful win over Cerronne. Once he starts winning, then they’ll promote you. Until then take a back seat to the guy who helped put the promotion on the map

Time for a 155 merger
I think someone already mentioned this above somewhere but why didn’t the UFC take the 155 lbers when they amalgamated the 170’s?
That way zuffa would have 1 champ per weight class instead it now has 3 at 155 while having only 1 in each of the others.
That said Varner would lose to the majority of the 155 lbers in the UFC.
Varner would get destroyed in UFC
Varner would barely make Top 10 in UFC. I have him behind (in no particular order) Penn, Sanchez, Edgar, Florian, Griffin, Maynard, Sherk and Stout. I’m probably forgetting a few others, but all these guys would kick Varner’s ass.
