Mike Brown needs to 'go berserk' at WEC 46 to get back into the featherweight title hunt

Quoteworthy:
"I just went straight back to it -- I didn't even take time off. I've felt worse before after losses -- I've gone into a depression before after losses. It's part of the game. I don't want to lose but I lost to a tough guy and I've just got to re-calculate things, figure out where my mistakes were and come back stronger. I know what went wrong. I changed my training a little bit. I changed my pace trying to be ready for five rounds, training more like a long-distance runner, and I sacrificed some of my power. I need to get back to becoming the kind of fighter who can beat someone in the first two minutes of the fight. I need to just go berserk."
Former WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown talks about rebounding from his disappointing TKO loss to Brazilian striking sensation Jose Aldo. Brown was obliterated by the devastating knockout artist at WEC 44 back on Nov. 18, coughing up his 145-pound championship belt in the process. Now the New England native has a chance to get back into the thick of things by going "berserk" against Anthony Morrison at WEC 46 from the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, Calif, on Jan. 10. Will it be enough?

power would not have changed that fight’s outcome. Aldo took him apart with finesse. pure and simple.

Power will help but...
Brown needs speed – quickness – which is mostly genetic but im sure he can improve a bit!

Mike Thomas Brown...
Meet the Anderson to your Rich Franklin.
I believe Brown is the best featherweight in the world, aside from Aldo. I just don’t see him ever winning that fight.
Seems like a good guy though! Glad he tasted gold for a bit.

the words "before" and "after" right next to each other in a sentence looks whacked
Theres nothing funner than lettin them hands go
-rashad before refusing to let his hands go at ufc 108
Ha
If only I could use these powers for good…
It is not enough to succeed. Others must fail.

He should be back in the title hunt in 2 or 3 fights...
There is nobodyelse that is going to beat him in the WEC. So a few good performances and he will get his rematch. He mos def has the power to KO anyone including Aldo, it is just getting past, actually through Aldos finesse! I hope to see him back on top I really like him and he is one of my favorite fighters…
Brown
even with your " loss of power" you still would’ve been able to knock out Aldo with one of those hard overhand rights that you threw. The problem was that you never caught him with anything hard and clean.
Can’t wait to see you back in action .
Did anyone else think that he looked way smaller than usual in the Aldo fight.
Or was it just me? He just didn’t seem as physically commanding. I remember watching him walk to the ring and thinking “is this his kid brother or something?”
Sucks for "Cheesesteak"
He’s going to catch a beating here. Does anyone else think this was pretty poor matchmaking on the WECs part? They are essentially wasting Brown’s name value on a newcomer who isn’t even very highly touted.
