lol exactly..

Say what you want about the dude, or whether or not that he deserves a title shot, but he has an awesome sense of humor and I find him to be one of the funnier MMA fighters. Nice to talk to in person also.

GSP SUB round 3. (RNC)

R u kidding? Fucking hysterical!

I was sitting around high as hell, logged onto mania, clicked on the video and a;most pissed my pants,,,,AWESOME! at the end credits, he listed AC Slater! Priceless!

by John G. on Jan 31, 2010 6:18 PM EST up reply actions

Based on the title, he has no choice in this match

I hope it is a 1st rd stoppage as I can’t stand to watch more than that with this clown.

by hairybumcrack on Jan 31, 2010 6:25 PM EST up reply actions

What?

That was pointless and a complete waste of time. Not even a little funny! Wanna see funny? Watch Bisping Island. GSP is gonna demolish this idiot

by PHISH NATION on Jan 31, 2010 6:32 PM EST up reply actions

This makes me think

That you have a bias against british people. You may deny it but that is really solid evidence.

by theworldismine on Jan 31, 2010 8:25 PM EST up reply actions

That

Phish Nation guy, he doesnt think Hardys funny, but then tells everyone to watch Bispings island.

by theworldismine on Jan 31, 2010 11:33 PM EST up reply actions

But A.C. Slater? I would’ve figured Hardy for more of a soul mate of Screech…

I laughed though, and will again when GSP murders him and leaves him staring up at the lights.

If Hardy even makes it into the third round, I'll start to respect him a whole lot more!

But, I do like the guy! He’s just not on the same playing field as GSP! Not his fault! Not many people are!

by Dana's a Crossdresser on Jan 31, 2010 5:32 PM EST reply actions

Funny as heck....

pretty sure he will make it into if not past the third round, I agree GSP will beat him but GSP is not known for finishing fights. Kos, Fitch, and Alves all took him to decision

by icuh8me on Jan 31, 2010 5:38 PM EST up reply actions

Oh shush

13 finishes and 6 decisions and you’re saying he’s not a finisher? And then you cite a fight in which he was injured in and blaming him form not finishing it?

Please…

by SpaceSoap on Jan 31, 2010 6:09 PM EST up reply actions

yeayeay, and the Edmonton Oilers have won the cup a ton of times. Last time he finished a fight was 2 years ago now and it was a lame stoppage which surely won’t happen against fighters like Hardy.

fresh like uhh.

by RoBerto. on Jan 31, 2010 7:24 PM EST up reply actions

You're ignorance is so amusing

I suppose you just forgot about when he finished BJ fucking Penn?

by SpaceSoap on Feb 2, 2010 12:35 AM EST up reply actions

GSP finishes

Look at GSP’s record – he’s NEVER had back-to-back decision wins. Never. And as far as Koscheck goes – Kos only lasted 3 rounds because he held onto his own shorts for a full 2 minutes to keep his arm from being kimura’d off.

by pancakehead on Jan 31, 2010 6:55 PM EST up reply actions

SpaceSoap and pancakehead

I will recommend both of you for immediate promotion. Well done lads.

by Yan117 on Jan 31, 2010 7:23 PM EST up reply actions

no he doesn’t, the refs step in for him.

fresh like uhh.

by RoBerto. on Jan 31, 2010 7:26 PM EST up reply actions

speaking of kos

If kos couldn’t defend gsp’s takedowns, and he’s probably the best well rounded wrestler at 170 no chance hardy comes close. Hardys best chance is a lucky uppercut or knee when gsp shoots. Or like many say a punchers chance.
I can’t wait for this fight honestly I have a feeling its gonna be good and have a finish.
Still I got gsp in 2nd by sub

by Phenomenal Angel on Jan 31, 2010 8:35 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

what?

Kos couldn’t take Alves down either who has no wrestling. The best wrestler at 170 is GSP followed by either Fitch or Matt Hughes. What people will learn from GSP and Machida is that the only way to beat Karate, real karate is with karate. The only other way is with a glory punch like serra, did and Hardy can do that. It is hard to double leg a guy who stands sideways with a wide stance and has his weight on the back leg. If you go for the front leg your head is stuffed and it fails. The way o beat GSP is to kick his front leg till he squares up and then shoot for a takedown.

by hatteras on Feb 1, 2010 11:36 AM EST up reply actions

Kos and Fitch are both really good at wrestling,

which is how GSP wins fights. While he did not finish them he beat Fitch to hell, beat Alves in the standup. Considering Fitch had not been beat in some17 fights and in the UFC 8, he completely owned him. Then there is the fact that the UFC 170 division is quite possible the most stacked division in all of mma. He is not fighting cans, guys in the top 20 thru 10, and nobodies. He is fighting guys who have been in the top, of the top 10 for the last 3/4 years. I am not a huge GSP fan but the fact is he stands as one of the most dominant fighters in all of mma, ever.

AHHHH come on that was awesome

i really don’t want to like this guy, but he is really making it hard for me to hate him. Now thats wrraassslen, nice music as well, i love that jam.

by Blazy j on Jan 31, 2010 5:38 PM EST reply actions

LMAO

I’m liking Dan Hardy more an more… alot of fans do hate the new GSP cause he relies on his wrestling way too much and doesn’t finish people anymore.

by Oswald on Jan 31, 2010 5:40 PM EST reply actions

Though I do not want to admit it, but ur statement is a little off that “(GSP) doesn’t finish people anymore.” He actually has been going between finish and decision for about 2 years. Obviously at UFC 100 he decisioned Alves, but give the guy a break he was injured the latter half of the fight. And everyone remembers when he finished my boy, BJ Penn…Even if he was a little slippery. Bfore that was Fitch (Decision), Serra (TKO), And Matthughes (amrbar) and Kos (Decision) are thrown in there too.

I guess the the point im trying to make is that GSP definitely has the tools to finish, i just believe at this level in the sport, a guy cannot be knocked for not finishing a fellow professional athlete. I dont know about “hate” but i think alot of fans are somewhat indifferent to GSP since he can have a considered boring personality.

Can’t wait for this PPV and the Abu Dhabi card, pretty stacked.

I was talking about...

his last 3 fights and I don’t think a corner stoppage is the same thing as a GSP stoppage. lol Like I said, he USED to finish people. You can’t argue about how he wrestles alot more ever since getting KO’d by Serra.

by Oswald on Feb 1, 2010 5:26 AM EST up reply actions

How is it not??

So a ref stoppage isn’t a finish either??

Correct me if im wrong..

but isn’t GSP one of the biggest draws in the UFC? Seems like that would be a weird thing to happen if most considered him boring.

by RayRayJr on Feb 1, 2010 8:42 AM EST up reply actions

Exactly.

I don’t see how anyone could think he is boring unless they are new to the sport and do not understand ground transitions. What GSP does inside the cage is nothing short of amazing.

Oh, yes, Meg, yes-yes yes, everything was going swimmingly for you until this. Ther ref would have stepped in shortly after, if the corner had not thrown in the towel...

BJ had no answer and BJ is hands down my favorite fighter. His corner just saved him the added abuse or risk of injury. There was not one point in that fight that BJ mounted any kind of offense or any kind of defense for that matter regarding GSP’s ground assault!

by Da Monkey on Feb 1, 2010 8:59 AM EST up reply actions

BJ rules at 155

But he needs to just keep Georges’ name out of his mouth, he will never beat GSP, but when he fights at 155, it’s a thing of beauty………..and yeah had that fight went one more round bj would not have made the final bell.

Punk

I can’t wait for Dan Hardy to get knocked out! He is a bum who doesn’t even deserve to be in the same ring as GSP. GSP will dominate his ass!

by Rob Janssen on Jan 31, 2010 5:55 PM EST reply actions

Serra didn’t either that did not go so well the guy has a punchers chance though GSP grinds it out I am sure.

I like Hardy too. Too bad though – i fear for his safety.

by eagzy on Jan 31, 2010 6:39 PM EST via mobile reply actions

any welterweight except actually good ones. I have to give it to him, though, this video was funny. It’s too bad he’s going to get destroyed by GSP.

sure he is funny..

but he is losing his fight to georges..

by sarah- on Jan 31, 2010 7:06 PM EST reply actions

I laughed..

at the hilarious video and at his chance of beating GSP. The video was damn funny, there is no denying that. There is also no denying he is going to lose BADLY to GSP. Thanks for the laugh Dan.

by JayWQ on Jan 31, 2010 7:26 PM EST reply actions

I just hope St-Pierre

doesn’t find it too funny as well. He will find it funny though that’s the problem. Is Hardy softening GSP up with humor? Kinda smart. Anything else would backfire. I prefer GSP to be a little angry (Serra, Penn II). Somebody is gonna have to bitchslap George before this fight to piss him off a bit because frankly, I kinda like Hardy too. Hopefully he crosses the line…

by Yan117 on Jan 31, 2010 7:39 PM EST reply actions

Very funny

And who cares if he’s probably gunna lose guy can have some fun can’t he? And yeah Yan, I think Georges is going to find this hilarious, but he’s too mentally strong and humble to let anything like that affect his fighting. Im pickin GSP in the 2nd or 3rd, but honestly I wouldnt mind if Hardy somehow won. And Im a huge GSP fan, and a Canadian. Oh yeah and when he was running back and forth across the cage with the bag it was priceless.

by theworldismine on Jan 31, 2010 8:30 PM EST reply actions

Me, too

I wouldn’t mind seeing Hardy win. If he does, obviously he totally deserves it, because who is really expecting it? Maybe his parents. Well, probably not. Still, and upset always makes for good rematches and keeps the sport fun.

by MMACrossfire on Jan 31, 2010 10:44 PM EST up reply actions

alves vs hardy

if hardy loses I definately wanna see thiago alves fight him.

I'm Tuning In

Well I watch every UFC event, but I’m especially interested in this one because we might get to witness the first ever death inside the octagon. Like GSP might actually kill him.

by OptimusInteger on Jan 31, 2010 8:41 PM EST reply actions

Obviously, you didn't watch the video.

… because I have never see wrestling moves like that. GSP is in for a world of hurt. I hope Hardy wears that wrestling suite, too. And the head gear.

by MMACrossfire on Jan 31, 2010 10:43 PM EST up reply actions

That would be priceless if he came out in the singlet!

They should charge everyone $5 more on the ppv to have Hardy come out and fight in the singlet. I would pay it! Maybe he could make GSP laugh enough to be off of his game and actually get the win.

HArdy has the punchers chance but there is no way in hell he is avoiding the wrestling and GNP abuse that GSP doles out.

by Da Monkey on Feb 1, 2010 9:07 AM EST up reply actions

Hilarious video!

Come on people, those who are letting him have it for this video need to RELAX. The mans just trying to have some fun and I for one loved the video, I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time.

LMAO funny video

I like hardy man but it will take a miracle for him to get by GSP and this video of him mocking GSPs wrestling will probally make it worse. I see GSP by TKO round one ground and pound.

Yea

And i think thats the purpose of the video.

by jeemd on Feb 1, 2010 3:49 AM EST up reply actions

No shit it's the purpose of the video

Because he knows he has almost zero chance on the ground against GSP. But don’t think for a second this will ass fuel to GSP’s ground game and watch him KO Hardy on the ground, for thsoe that think this will keep it standing you are dead wrong, GSP is going to teach Hardy to respect the wrestling or just cry about it.
