Dana White on UFC 108 results: 'The fighters always deliver' (Video)

It was a card that suffered endless injuries and endless ridicule. Did the fighters hold up their end of the bargain and deliver a pay-per-view worthy card?

Dana doesnt realize that the argument from fans wasnt that the card shourd be trashed

It was that the card wasn’t worth being a PPV, which it wasn’t.
So if the the fans are “disrespecting” fighters by saying they shouldn’t be on a PPV, is Dana doing the same when he puts them on UFN’s?
Dana makes a totally invalid point there.

This.

Not bad but worth the ppv dollars? Nope. And quantity doesn’t equal quality.

I was the local pub and everyone that was there enjoyed this card very much

Quality is the calibure of the fighters going against near the same calibure of fighter and this card has awsome quality and quantity was normal six fights and we got to see a few undercards twice for those who watched Spike. A lack of quality is a top calibutre fighter going against a low calibure fighter and there was not much of that last night all matches were fairly even. If your looking for star power yeah they didn’t have GSP or Silva but they had what every mma fan enjoys GREAT FIGHTS that were worth every penny

No, posters did say scrap the event

I do remember reading plenty saying it and implying it from a few months ago. Injury plagued card yes, disappoinment, no.

Naw

the bigger argument was should it be free or not. Any real fight fan, like Dana likes to say, would want to see a night of free fights than no fights.

Agree, Mexi.

This should have been UFN. But the fights didn’t disappoint me. I like watching fights though, not names.

Frank Mir packed 30+ pounds of solid muscle onto his body in five months. Why hasn't anyone called him out for steroid use? Is it because he never wrestled for Vince McMahon? I give Mir credit for his taste in strippers/wives, not his fighting skills or his personality.

Awsome card worth every dollar

To many fans base a card off the names not the quility of fighters and there was a lot of quility fighters on this card maybe not the mainstream names like BJ,Brock,GSP but great match ups and quility fighters. Great card to start out the year the fights were exciting and well worth every penny. You are desrespecting the fighters when you say they are not worth the PPV dollars no matter how you put it.

I agree...

Yes i do. Enjoyed all the fights! Worth a PPV in my eyes. Thanks UFC…looking foward to the next one.

Honestly, I think this is one of those instances where you just gotta give the UFC some credit. Despite all of the horrific shit that happened with this card it totally delivered. After the card I felt like it was worthy of a buy. I was entertained. Before hand? I was on the fence. But I’ve learned from enough buys though that in general even seemingly lackluster cards w/ out major star power or a belt on the line are STILL usually worth your money, in my opinion. That’s why most of us here keep on ordering them time and time again. The majority of the time you get your money’s worth.
