Denis Kang vs Vernon White to headline W-1: 'Bad Blood' on March 20
Warrior One MMA (W-1) wasted no time booking its most recent high-profile acquisition, Denis Kang (32-12-1), to headline "Bad Blood" on March 20, pairing him opposite 61-fight veteran, Vernon White (26-33-2).
Kang revealed the match up today via Twitter.com.
White, a bonafide MMA veteran who began his career in the Japanese organization, Pancrase, in its inaugural year (1993), has faced some of the biggest names in MMA today: Chuck Liddell, Frank Shamrock, Bas Rutten, Masakatsu Funaki, Pedro Rizzo, Kazushi Sakuraba, and the current UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Lyoto Machida, to name a few.
He last fought in May 2009 in "War Gods - War Gods 5" fight card, dropping a unanimous decision against Lew Polley.
Kang, meanwhile -- once a top-ranked middleweight with a stunning 23-fight undefeated streak from 2003 to 2006 in organizations such as Pride FC and Spirit MC -- has run into a rough patch in recent years.
During his three-fight stint in UFC, he went 1-2 with a decison win over Xavier Foupa-Pokam sandwiched between uninspiring losses to Alan Belcher in his promotional debut and to Michael Bisping at UFC 105.
W-1 Bad Blood will take place at the Pierre Charbonneau Centre in Montreal, Quebec Canada on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

if Kang dont win this one he should never fight again for nobody! i didnt even know Vernon White wuz still a active fighter.
YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYBODY SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL PLEASE YOU!!!!!!!
I thought that he'd retired as well
Should be a decent scrap, though Kang has to win this if he’s ever going to get a chance with a top promotion again.

It's even more devastating watching him falter live
Even worse when it’s against Bisping in Manchester and the whole crowd are behind the hometown boy born in Cyprus, raised in Clitheroe and training in Widnes.

Amen to that!
Dude’s one of my favourite fighters, and I was about 30 feet from the cage.
I was devastated when he lost, especially after he looked like he was gonna finish Bisping in the first round.
yep
cracks under pressure. Difference between a champion and a fighter

He's just not a trigger puller.
Can’t get out of his own way to save his life.
The one and only Smitty...
lol have you read some sort of Bisping biography?
"Matt Hughes and his brother used to pound each other out behind the barn."
-The legendary Mike Goldberg
Who would write a Bisping biography?
He’s said on countdown shows where he is from and Wolfslair isn’t far from where I live when I’m not at uni. All I know is that he isn’t a Manc, he only gets announced as being from Manchester to get the cheap hometown boy cheers. It was laughable when he got announced as being from Manchester by way of Liverpool, not only did it make no sense as they’re 2 separate cities that he isn’t from but the Mancs and Scousers hate each other.
