Scott Jorgensen vs Chad George set for WEC 47 preliminary card
World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) is beginning to round out its March 6 card after the promotion announced a 135-pound match up between brawling bantamweights Scott Jorgensen and Chad George earlier today.
Jorgenson (8-3) is coming off a dominant performance of Takeya Mizugaki, who simply failed to mount any sort of offense until the waning minutes of the fight. The victory gave the Idaho native his fourth in his past five contests, as Jorgensen looks to build up to a title shot at 135 pounds.
George, appropriately nicknamed "The Savage" is rolling off a unanimous decision victory over John Hosman in his WEC debut. "The Savage" is on a six-fight rampage and looks to continue his streak of beat downs with a win over a bantamweight contender.
While the bout does indeed hold implications in terms of the division's contenders, Jorgensen and George will not find themselves on the Versus telecast come March 6, as the two will do battle on the evening's preliminary card.
WEC 47 features a bantamweight title bout between champion Brian Bowles and top contender Dominick Cruz set for Columbus, Ohio this March. The evening's participants also include WEC legend Miguel Torres and the first-ever UFC lightweight champion Jens Pulver. The two giants of the sport are looking for a shot at redemption after each man has fallen on hard times in recent history.
Stay tuned to MMAmania.com as this card continues to blossom in the weeks building up the the March 6 event in Columbus.

I Like Scott
I’ve seen a couple of his fights and in all honestly his skin condition did sort of make me wonder what had happened – why is it like that blahblahblah is it a burn? blahblah but when he gets going in the cage you don’t even notice it. And I mean that as a sincere compliment to his performance. Now I think of how mentally strong he must be to deal so naturally with something a lot of us would struggle with, I’ve heard he has something…starts with a “V”… anyway I am sure it will come up here hopefully but it’s only supposed to be found in less than 1% of the population globally. This kid will continue to wreck shop for 2010… I think so. Jorgenson is one mean dude.
It's coming...
scott needs to be on the main card….he is a up and comer and just destryoed Takeya Mizugaki in his last fight…y would he be on the undercard? i mean Takeya Mizugaki gave Torres a real run for his money…………hope we get to see the fight
Shane Cawin....the next UFC HW champ....Mir......another puffy face with an added broken jaw....Brock you're next
Putting Scottie on the Undercard is FUCKED up and a SLAP to his spotted face!
