Ufc81-bonus_medium

The official fighter purses for the competitors of WEC 46: "Varner vs. Henderson" this past Sunday night (Jan. 10) from the ARCO Arena in Sacramento were released earlier today by the California State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

Former featherweight champion Mike Thomas Brown claimed the second spot on the money list, leaving Sac-town with a cool $38,000. Waggney Fabiano, meanwhile, raked in a cool $30,000 for his WEC bantamweight debut.

And these are two P4P quality fighters.

They’re gettin screwed by the fact that zuffa wont reliquinsh this retarded idea of keeping the orgs separate. It only makes sense to have all the division and all the linear titles in one place. Then they only need to get Fedor and they can easily sign all top 10 flyweights for the price of one Faber show money. They can then officially be the NFL of MMA.

With the possible introduction of WEC PPVs

and UFC cards being shown on Versus now. It doesn’t sound like a merger will be happening anytime soon. After there is a substantial drop in UFC Fight Night viewers due to the channel change (you can’t even get Versus on Direct TV) and low PPV purchases for the WEC event, hopefully they will rethink their lame stategy.

I don’t think WEC as its own entity is a viable PPV model. If they want to go that route, then the UFC should absorb the entire thing so that Faber and other PPV worthy fighters can be seen on PPV and just do more Fight Nights and free events to have more events to showcase all the other fighters.

The weather is here, I wish you were beautiful
