EXACTLY!!!!

Or he just needs the EXTRA time for the roids in his body presently to be gone. This is PAST an insult and OBVIOOUS that he wants NOTHING to do with US fightg commission drug testing policies.

I mean he has fought what 7 or 8 times SINCE winning here in the US. It will be nearly 3 YEARS between defending the belt if he DOSNT FIGHT UNTIL June or July.

Get rid of this asshole. I thought Strikeforcw at least had some balls…but I guess they will let Overeem decides what and when he will do it. I guess Overreem is running shit, cause Strikeforce sure isnt nd look like bitches

Ream does have his standing but its not like hes such a money maker like brock lesner

Well listen,

let him get kod in k1 a couple of times by hari.

SHult or remmy or who ever.

hell turn to crap.

ovoursly its ither mma or standup
cant be good at bouth withought giving up some ground in training and such.

he will lose. it will take time.

I'm no Fedor nuthugger

I just don’t see Overeem pulling this off. Fedor is much to quick and smart for this guy.

by UFC Champ on Jan 1, 2010 6:38 PM EST up reply actions

Dont u all wish fedor will lose?

Hate 2 say it 2 all the non believers out there, fedor is the man as he has proven time and time again. he has beaten all the ufc had 2 offer at pride and now he will show the rest of the non believers that his record is the way it is because he knows how to beat the show ponies and the dreamers. he is a great technician of submissions and can knock them out also. it will be another usa vs ussr spectacle. as per usual, the us dont like fedor because of where he is from. fedor…… u r the greatest fighting machine the world has ever seen by a hell of a long way.

by lrbs711 on Jan 8, 2010 3:47 AM EST up reply actions

whats wrong with the ussr lol venuswela is comi and so is our president obami lol

but fedor will be the man.

i mean.

The only draw back to fedor is m1 kept him out of ufc.

UFC would be the best place to see him win.

bes place out of all.

more fance more exposure.

and mabye bring in some red devil fighters lol.

i mean most are great.

Fedor, ALEX, Kritonov , musasi.

these guys could be great fighters.

by Roman M on Jan 27, 2010 2:12 AM EST up reply actions

Everyone wants to see fedor go down but does elister have the skills lol

It is quite easy to say you are big and huge and you will win!

But who has he really thought. and beaten who is a worthy opponent.
The fluky armload on mark hunt.

That win over hari looked fluky and yet hari got his revenge by knoking him down many times.

Its only a shame about the knokdown rule otherwise he woudl ko oveream.

And if oveream gets kod in k1
he will be yesterdays news and not as effective in mma.

I think you dont need a fighter like fedor to bring the oveream down.

I think that guy like Sergey Kritonov who beat him in the past. Alexe Emilinko.
Gosh Barnet. who else. out thier in the mma mega worse.

I see lesner taking the ream down perhaps but brock standup sucks but if he does take him down. and i doubt he will gilutine a devision one wresler lol.

Even Bret can do it .

Nogura can do it.

who else.

many fighters out their.

Dell santos.

many many.
lol.

Everyone is a fedor hater and want him to loose.

well he will but to a deserving fighter.

In my opinion oveream has a lot of chance to loose.

but he shoudl fight in us and pass the roid test to be on a even playing field.

and i think fedor is underdog to knowonw.
and when he will beat the ream.

he has others to fight.
its not a end all be all matches.

Fedor beat a game cro cop preety well with groudning when mirco had good nees.

ream can get submitted or kod by fedor lol.

hell just be kod like all the other times he was kod by like lidell and like who else, kritonov and showgun.

lulz

Does anybody actually believe this?

by Ben! on Jan 1, 2010 12:40 PM EST reply actions

Roid up and take a fight against a can

Great game plan. I guess he figures he can pass a piss test by May/June
I personally care less if this guy fights in the states or not. He couldn’t even beat Shogun twice, how the hell does he think he will beat Fedor?

Hilarious video!

A woman spoke in Japanese most of the time, but the English interpretation of her questions only took about a third of the time it took her to ask the questions in Japanese. Overeem kept looking at his watch and almost started laughing once when she started talking again.

Overeem said that he was training for Fedor and only Fedor starting now. But then he said that he has K-1 obligations in March. That seemed a bit contradictory to me.

by DrPepper on Jan 1, 2010 12:55 PM EST reply actions

Yeah, what's up with all the watch-glancing? Maybe he still has the Dutch timezone on. He was even asking for the time from one of the peeps not in the camera shot.

So if they fight six months from now, who’s Fedor’s next opponent again? Werdum?
Well it doesn’t really matter. Whoever it is would be a nice tune up fight. Even if he decides to wait like half a year before scrappin’, I think ring rust isn’t much of a factor for the great ones. All hail the Emperor!!

fedor is close to untouchable. they all try 2 beat him, but guess what, he will come out on top as per usual. hail the russian experiment!!!!!!!

Fedor V Overeem

Overeem doesn’t move his head at all lately, and all he seems to rely on lately are those knees, although obviously devastating (Just ask Fujita and Teixeira), we all know what happened the Pitbull when he tried using the knees…lol. Overeem is far to slow for Fedor, christ ,if Fedor can look fast quick against Aoki, imagine how he’d make Overeem look. Not gonna happen anyway imo due to the fact that Alistair is fighting K-1 again in few months. Would be interesting to see that fight if it ever happens.

Sweet

About time can’t wait for this one.

by BJPennfan on Jan 1, 2010 1:19 PM EST reply actions

i dont think it will happen in may for or june. Fedor is fighting in april and will probably want 2 months to prepare, aslo if he is hurt or cut, it will be delayed even longer. I think srikeforce also wants Overeem to appear once on cbs before the 2 meet, so they could hold this fight on ppv, any thoughts?

by #1 piggy on Jan 1, 2010 2:03 PM EST reply actions

Doubtful

I doubt it happens till August or later. I keep hearing contradictory interviews between Overeem and his manager. What are we supposed to believe nowadays? If anything, expect Overeem to get stripped of his Strikeforce title at some point.

by n4tacon on Jan 1, 2010 2:10 PM EST reply actions

ohh boy its dooms day for overeem. nighty night… hes paper competition for the man they call FEDOR… i guess there is oone else for him to fight.

Put it this way

If Overroids successfully defends the SF title against Fedor in 2010 I’ll do a pic and sig praising him for the rest of the year. I am very dubious about that fight ever happening nevermind Overroids actually winning against the greatest HW of all time.

"Anderson Silva is the best fighter on the planet...any Anderson Silva fight that is on, people should be buying that PPV, not because he’s my fighter but you know what, he to me is like the Muhammad Ali of MMA...the UFC has been around since 1993, nobody (else) has 10 consecutive wins in the UFC. Anderson has had 10 fights in the UFC, only 1 has ever gone to a decision."

Overeem is a joke

I have zero interest in ever watching Overeem fight anyone, especially Fedor. The guy is a coward and a cheater.

Overeem's a total dick.

I’m by no means a Fedor fan but this JOKE Overeem really needs his ass whoopin in MMA, It was nicely done in K1 thanks Badr Hari.
He’s a steroid jabbing gutless joke of a champion.

by RearNakedBloke on Jan 1, 2010 9:04 PM EST reply actions

WHY

Does this guy still have a belt. Strikeforce really looking soft and pathetic for this one. Overoid really needs to be stripped. And if anyone thinks he can beat Fedor they are crazy. Another one punch KO for the GREAT ONE and the FEdor haters go wild.!!!
